Well to all you Pearl opposer's, you got your freaking wish. Thanks for pushing the fact that he needed to be gone. Now, when we have a few terrible seasons, it will all come back on you. As your wish is being granted, Tobias Harris's father has spoken, If Pearl goes, Tobias goes, and oh yeah, Hopson is going to. So to my real fellow Tennessee fans, it is a very sad day for us, and supposedly a bright day for all the opposer's. Well to all the opposer's, I hope your ready to go back to the Buzz Peterson days and only win 9 games a year with no tourney appearances. Thank you once again for sticking your head where it don't belong and bashing a coach that screwed up one time but he has taken us to the tourney every year. So Bruce, wherever you end up, I'll be backing you, and my wishes for a great future go out to Harris and Hopson, you've made the right decision and you both are loyal as hell.

It's irrelevant. We are done. It was a great six years. And to all the posters who say otherwise.. I will bump this year after year when we lose to Florida and Kentucky by 30.


Yes, Bruce Pearl wasn't the best X and O coach.. Hell he wasn't even a good person. But he brought the ENERGY. THE ATTENTION. THE RECRUITS.

In this situation, we have to do EVERYTHING.. to keep him. EVERYTHING. We are setting ourselves back so many years. If we would have got the ban hammer from the NCAA so be it. IT's worth it to do everything to keep Pearl.

Yes. The old guy's the people who've been around the block before Pearl will come in and disagree... Call me a Pearl fan, but im a Vol fan above all.. and this is a sad sad sad day.

Tennessee has a two to three year NCAA tournament ban either way. Anybody that thinks a player of Harris' caliber signs with our basketball team any time soon is an absolute fool.

I had a girlfriend like that once. She had a lot of energy and got attention everywhere she went. She also recruited well. She wasn't a very good person, though.

It was fun while it lasted, but in hindsight, I'm glad she is gone.

Basketball would be done if we hired someone of the equivalent of Murry Bartow. The chances of that are slim. (Please, God, let the chances of that be slim)
