I am sick of all the threads on here about we are still young, and "but we weren't expected to beat OK," and "the team is still learning, and crap, and more crap...

Call a Spade a Spade.

CBJ has not yet, not once, out coached anyone.

Yeah he beat Spurrier last year...who didn't?

And the year before that we won due to a miracle catch by North.

MO out coached us, Vandy out coached us, and even the Gators coach out coached us.

We have lost two games now where we were up big going into the 4th quarter. Now our OC says we need to learn blitzes etc.

CBJ has the ability to grow. he can mature as a coach and he can get it together. But unless something changes he is our Zook.

I mean does anyone think we lose to either FL or OK if Gruden had of actually taken the job...

We are lulling people to sleep with the hurry up and punt offense. Pretty soon we're going to see Butch's real offense

He has outcoached Spurrier two years in a row. Yes the 2013 South Carolina game required a miracle catch, but they were a much more talented team than us. I hate to say it, but Butch's conservative nature won that game for us.

Don't get me wrong, his conservative coaching has lost many more close games for us than it has won us, but in that instance, it somehow worked.

I also think he outcoached Ferentz (Iowa Head Coach). We were better than Iowa, but not that much better. He wasn't conservative in that game until it was well out of reach, although we could have hung 70 if he hadn't pulled a Butch and hit the brakes.

Only in Butchland is there such thing as "too much of a lead"

It's hard to use youth as an excuse when the opposing team Saturday was starting two freshmen on their OL to go along with a walk on QB.

As for beating Spurrier, good point, which is more impressive? Butch being 2-0 against Spurrier or Stoops at Ky being 2-0 in the last two years against Spurrier? Either or, nice to see him tossing the visor like a beanbag.

As for Mizzou, to be fair, they have out coached everyone in the East, they simply do more with less. Their schedule in the West each year does help their cause.

Speaking of Zook, I read people saying Butch can learn from this game not to do this again. My question is this, exactly what did he learn from the Fla game last year? These games are identical from last year except it was an even bigger lead. Will this just be a trend each year? Tn had Fla beat last year and should win in the swamp. They have only 8 scholarship OL available to play barring any injuries against Ky, who is getting picked to beat Fla by quite a few 'experts'.

People are taking this quote way too literally. The young guys got overwhelmed. Practice it over and over and teach and reteach so it's ingrained in their brains.

First off: Top 10 worst thread name list topper

Second thought: This is an entirely new thread for the same crap posted in nearly 8 other threads. Could you not have vented there?

And last: he's been given an extension and we are still paying off our last coach. Getting a new coach every 2-4 years will not help this program, quite the opposite, I see it driving it down further than before. Be glad he recruits at a top 5 level, give butch a little time (as if you had a choice), and enjoy for the first time in the last 10 years, coming close to all these teams that once destroyed us. We at least compete now.

Give credit where due. He outcoached Spurrier and actually Richt as well when you consider the talent disparity.

OTOH, he was outclassed pretty badly this past weekend. Pinkel has owned him. Franklin outcoached him pretty badly.

The real head scratcher is that Muschamp, one of the most clueless HC's we've seen in awhile, pretty much outcoached him at least once.

The gator coach outcoached us...yes, by leaving Driskell in for three quarters. Driskell should not have seen the field after their previous season, let alone be starting three games into it and not benched until very late in the game. No, Muschamp did not out coach us. That was his name BTW, Muschamp.

The fact is, if Muschamp had any clue at all about offense the gators would have beaten us handily, because their D even last year was very good and we had like 15 total starts on our OL when we played them. We were only up 9 points and we struggled for every one of those.

And you have about the ugliest-azz icon I have ever seen in this place. Nasty.

9 points and 14 points are not big leads in football anymore.

The ironic reason for this is because of the up tempo offenses. We would rather beat our chest about running 3 plays in under a minute, meanwhile gaining 7 total yards, and giving it right back to an offense that was gaining steam. That's on the coaches.

Get the stick out of your (coaches) ass and drain the clock in the 4th, with a 17 point lead, and the law of averages waiting to strike on thn opposing sideline. And no, drain the clock doesn't mean run, run, run, punt. Keep the clock moving and execute short yardage conversions. This would require us to actually get the ball to one of your receivers worth a **** though, which wasn't allowed.

"Yeah but keep your foot on the gas!!!!!"

You get six points in the 4th quarter rather you score a TD in 2:48 of regulation time or 6:35 of regulation time.
