BJ Coleman (Merged)

Weinke actually committed to FSU to play football before playing baseball, showing he had potential.

Rozier was a 2* guy coming out of high school, who has issues with his weight and conditioning, his composure, and seemingly decreasing arm strength. Also, he mostly ran the shotgun in high school.

So as of right now next years roster at QB looks like this.....Nick Stephens and Rozier....Oh boy, We had better stock up in this recruiting year or We are in serious trouble...SERIOUS TROUBLE!

Which is why if three different OCs have put Coleman behind Crompton there is no way in hell I ever want him taking a snap.

So you are saying if Cut was here, he would not be the starter right now. And one of the other OC's you speak of, was one and done, not sure I would put a lot of stock in his decision making.

JC may win the heisman next year.(joke) What do I know.

He is the best of the three...from what I have seen..My opinion is based on arm, game performance and athletic ability. Its obviously not Crompton.

This is not a pro-crompton question at all, but what makes you like Nick Stephens athletic ability? All my memories are of him getting easily run down from behind, I don't remember a single time that he made a play with his feet? Not trying to be critical here, but asking for you to calm my fears of this guy. Its becoming more real that he may start.

If Rozier starts the season this year, I'm not watching any games.

If he starts it's because he earned it. Losing Coleman isn't the end of the world. He wasn't going to make or break this team. Regardless of what most think, he wasn't that good.

If JC can beat the gators then he'll be forgiven for all his sins an transgressions he acquired under center last season.:D

BJ is making a stupid move, just look at most of the one's who left because they are cry babies that ended up doing nothing. He has a real chance of playing this year especially next year. Well he needs to leave anyway because he seems to not be a team player anyway.

Hello.....hello......Earth to strongtower.......did you read the article???? hello......hello......

Either way...it's nice to have a staff that can be forthright and not blow smoke up someone's butt. But....we already knew that, didn't we? I have no attraction to any QB other than the one that the staff thinks will get the job done.

Some of you have your favorite in this QB race. That's cool. But let's be real....the coaching staff gets paid a lot of $$$$$ to make these decisions.

This isn't your daddy's football.

It's amazing how everyone on here reads between the lines. I never questioned the staff, never said I had a preference of QB. I was simply asking if this might have anything to do with Rozier coming to UT. Personally I don't believe any of the current QB staff has what it takes to be compete in the SEC at the level we would like. Maybe you were responding to a different post by mistake.

You know nothing compares to any of them. Fulmer could judge QB talent better blind.

all this crap about Coleman being a leader make me puke. a leader doesnt leave with out even telling the coaches.

Seems to me that if he isn't very good the coaching staff would tell him the same as Boyd. "Don't come, you don't fit our system"

he quit the team by going to the public without telling his teammates/coaches first? Quality Character guy !!

He's a walkon who has college paid for by the Red Sox and his dad is the HS coach of one of the nations top WRs. We couldn't really turn him down, but he's nowhere close to SEC material.

I agree, I don't like the idea of him running to the media, instead for working it out with his coaches. The coaches were the last to knoow and that's bad business. He acted on emotion and when you do that you usually regret your decision. No true leader quits or leaves his brothers behind. You just don't do it.

I bet Kiffin told him crompton is starting. And next year we get Heaps which could possibly beat him out again. Therefore, he transfers to Duke so that he can actually play.

I do wish he would stay because we have all seen the difference between "practice Crompton" and "game Crompton."

I just don't think Coleman was that good. He threw, what, ONE touchdown last year? And that was to a Vanderbilt player.
