BJ Coleman (Merged)

I'll match your Brandon Stewart with any QB that's ever come out of Tennessee. I don't even know if there has been a good one.

But I could care less about schools' curriculums. I wonder what Tee Martin's school taught? Or Vince Young's? Tebow went to a home school for goodness sakes.

You can have McCallie. I'll take success.

So you'd rather have some kid from Texas than home state Tennessee?? That just pains me to here.

Name the last good QB to come out of home state Tennessee?

And I'll take Peyton over any Tennessean ever. You would too.

No I am not McCallie Alum. What I do know is there curriculums and the values they instill not just in players but ALL students. I'll take a leader out of McCallie over any High School in <st1:state w:st="on">Tennessee</st1:state> or <st1:state w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Texas</st1:place></st1:state>. Shall I begin to name the names of great leaders that are graduates of McCallie and then we can match them against <st1:state w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Texas</st1:place></st1:state> ones. People have this misconception if they were a QB in <st1:state w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Texas</st1:place></st1:state> they are great. I give you Brandon Stewart sir.

yeah they were class acts when we used to play them in HS. See how hard it is to just make a blanket statement?

Not once have I stated that I was "ALL IN THE KNOW" but unless you are a coach or a player, I might be moreso than you. I don't know that, you may be. I believe you might know something I don't, but I also know that I know some things you don't as well. I really don't care. But I agree with what you say about a QB.

You stated <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Texas</st1:place></st1:State>. I wasn't saying all QB not from <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Tennessee</st1:place></st1:State> were not leaders. As for a good QB out of the state of <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Tennessee</st1:place></st1:State> well Andy Kelly was pretty darn good.

Andy Kelly.

90-93 but should it matter when you are using Brandon Stewart and Andy Kelly as examples?

Well who did you play for or attend with?. I happen to have been close to that program from 86-92 and they were very many that beat them.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

So, since we have three choices, I'm taking Coleman. Please stay on topic, instead of High school choices! Thanks.

went to Bearden and ran against them and played soccer against them. They are no better/worse than any other group I played with or against other than they paid more for their education

Well he will not be the Gov so we have to give him some notice.

Ooltewah Vol....I know what you are saying. I am from Chattanooga and know about the Baylor and McCallies..etc. But BJ was a smart and very bright kid before McCallie. He is blessed with leadership skills and I really hope he gets a chance to show them off on the field for UT.

I didn't say he "knew all." But he's definitely on the inside. He's been right with everything I've seen him put on here (Chris Donald, the coach's feelings about players, the depth chart)...

Oh I know very well about him. I followed his entire career at McCallie. His foundation began at home. McCallie just made it deeper.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

It makes no sense to me how so many of you guys could see any upside to this guy. The offense was just as bad, if not worse when he came in. His 2 wins were a squeaker against Northern Illinois and Miss State, where the Defense put up more points than the offense. Its debatable what was worse last year, Crompton vs Auburn, or Stephens vs South Carolina......

Penn...you did not answer the outstanding question...Have you ever played a down in football?
