Best Whiskey

Need something strong? I think it's been mentioned here: Angles Envy. I think it's good, others love it; but give it a try and let me know what you think.

Thank you for the recommendation - Angel's Envy is good stuff. It couldn't ease the pain at the end but made the rest of the game more enjoyable. I did sound like a dumbass at the liquor store asking for 'ANGLES ENVY' and the clerk wondering, wtf!

It's one of the hottest bourbons around right now. If a clerk wasn't familiar with it I'd be saying WTF to the clerk.

I drank more whiskey this weekend than I ever have.

And on that note...threw up more than I ever have. You know it's bad when you are taking pulls from a Kentucky Deluxe handle by the end of the night.

reminds me of a couple months back I was drinking margarita's that had everclear. Puked all night.

I had no idea everclear was in there at the time. It was awful.

Elijah Craig 18 (when it comes back out) is by far the best that I have ever consumed.
Knob Creek
4 Roses
Blanton's
Maker's
Gentleman Jack (can't go wrong. All the flavor of JD without the kick in the nuts at the end)
W.L Weller
Elmer T. Lee (good, but I would take the others above first. Always available at McScrooge's in Knoxville)
Woodford Reserve

Any of the above and in no particular order after the first one. I know this is a two year old thread but did anyone stop to point out the only difference in whiskey and bourbon to the OP....location, location, location.

I don't think KD is actually whiskey.

Last time I has that was in college. Drank a 5th of it in 45 min. Also puked all over the place. A hangover from hell for 3 days. Good times

Yea...it don't think it is either. But I was drunk from about 3/4ths of a new Maker's bottle and it was there in front of me. I didn't buy it...someone had left it there.

Elijah Craig 18 is now Elijah Craig 21. @$145.

Just got the bad word on the EC 18......2 more years. It will come back out but it's a ways off. It was NOT being held for the 20/21, it just jumped quick and they didn't have any in the pipeline behind it. The 20/21 are what the have now with some 12 year old barrel strength batches floating around if you can find them.

Same barrels that bottled 18 also bottled 21. The next release of 18 is from different barrels.

Didn't see your post....just spent some time on the phone with the distillery. She says there is a 137 proof (barrel proof) floating around out there now in the 12 year old version.

Noah's Mill is the best I've ever had, but it can be hard to find. It's 114 proof so be careful with it.
