Aside from SEC schools my top uni's are:

1.) Notre Dame
2.) USC
3.) Kansas (The red tops are on point).
4.) Mizzou
5.) UCLA

The list is in no specific order, just listing them out.

I thought this meant other than Tennessee's...but whatever, mine are UT, Auburn, and Vandy,

Outside of the SEC, I gotta go with the Ducks of Oregon. A different uni every game is pretty awesome.

LSU wears white at home, that's their thing, they have done that forever. I think its cool. They have cool helmets. But I agree, I'm not a huge fan of the purple jerseys.

Off the top of my head, I believe LSU use to wear purple jersey's for SEC home games as late as the early '90( wore them against UT in '92) I think the purple jerseys look cool against the gold helmet and pants

My all time SEC uni favorites
1. early '90's UT away uni's(White jersey, orange pants with 2 stripes no black outline on numbers i.e. Notre Dame '91, Cotton Bowl '90)
2. 1997-8ish Kentucky away uni's(white helmet, white jersey, light blue pants)
3. early 2000's USCe all black(helmet, jersey, pants)
4. 90's UF all blue and all white uni'
5. I would love to see an all black UGlyA uni( black jersey i.e. 2007 Cocktail party, 2008 bama with black pants i.e. Cocktail party 1997) When UGlyA wears black against UF, they win the game and we win the east.

white top, orange pants, two white stripes...UCLA game last year.

And don't give me crap about us losing that game and them being bad luck.

Dave Clawson and the mustang package lost that one.

I thought our 2006 throwbacks where our best looking ones to date although the white on white is a close second --

Gator fan, I liked those throwbacks. I'm actually not a fan of Florida's way uni's. I really don't like your white/white. I like the orange britches, but I think your home uni's are cool.

This thread is everywhere. Someone said Nebraska's uni's are terrible? Um, they are the EXACT same thing as the Vols, only they are Red and White. Both Addidas, both have Single letter on the helmet. I think they have great Uni's. Classic.

The love to Oregon is pathetic. They are the worst thing i have ever seen. A team that changes their uniforms that much is insecure. They Are HIDDEOUS.

Kentucky would have better uni's if they took the "U" off their helmet and made it just a "K", the "UK" looks 1-AA or even highschool.

And I just don't understand the love of Black uni's of any kind, they are always ugly. I was at the Cocktail party when Georgia wore black pants, it was bad ugly. Bad.

Ark same and lame
LSU alright
Ole Miss to hicky for my taste

yeah, nothing says tradition like taking the green bay packers logo and changing it to black.

Both logos came about in the early 60s. An interesting snippet of info about the use of the oval G logo by the Packers and UGA.

The oval "G" logo was created in 1961 by Packers equipment manager George "Dad" Braisher. The team actually used a number of different logos prior to 1961, but the "G" is the only logo that has ever appeared on the helmet. Although the Packers have granted limited permission to other organizations to utilize a similar logo, notably the University of Georgia and Grambling State University, the Packers hold the trademark for it. Adopted in 1964, the Georgia "G"- though different in design and color- was similar to the Packer's "G". Then Georgia head coach Vince Dooley thought it best to clear the use of Georgia's new emblem with the Packers. However, since its inception in 1961, the Packer's "G" has been redesigned several times and now looks like Georgia's original 1964 "G."

7.) Michigan. yes that's right I said Michigan. WTH IS that thing on their helmets anyway?!? Yeah I know it's tradiiton but it makes no sense!

The Michigan helmet first got "wings" in 1938 when Fritz Crisler had part of the helmet colored so that it was easier to spot the receivers downfield. The leather helmets were constructed with a pattern that resembles today's "winged" design. When they changed to shell helmets, the winged design had become associated with Michigan, so it was kept to be something unique.

Another thing is that Michigan weren't even the first to have that trademark wing design. Remember, Fritz Crisler coached at Princeton before Michigan, and brought that over from Princeton.

Yup. Princeton went back to the winged design in 1998 after I think 50 years without it. I did some research a while back and saw that that design was worn by several teams in the leather helmet days (not nearly as contrasting in colors as the maize/blue of Michigan) but Michigan was the only school to stick with it and make it an iconic design.

Speaking of Ivy League schools...I love Dartmouth's helmet. Could do without the modern design of the jerseys (boring Denver Broncos template) but the helmet is historic, unique, and pretty darn cool.

To be honest, I pretty much like all the SEC uniforms. Although Vandy can get ugly when they wear the gold jerseys with black pants or all gold.

Other than that combo, I like them all. I really like LSU's purple uniforms; I think they should wear them more often though I know they wear white at home for most home games.

For the UT game this year in Tuscaloosa Saban said that we would be wearing our throwback jerseys, which means that the only change will be wearing leather helmets and steel cleats.

Someone seriously likes Oregon's uniforms? Their uniforms are some of the worst ever...not just in college football...in uniform history. Of all sports and all uniforms in general.

Best uni's in each conference:

SEC: Bama/Tenn
Big 12: OU
PAC 10: Washington
ACC: Virginia/Miami
Big 10: tOSU
Big East: WVU

I love BYU's newest uni's. They used to be so ugly:

And if you are a real college football fan, you need to see Harvey Unga play. Your only chances will be BYU's games against FSU, OU, and their bowl. Fit one in, he's a treat. He'll be a junior and he already has 3,332 yards from schrimmage, and 33 TD's. He's ridiculously huge and is an every down back. A great pass-catcher.

I like Kentucky's Helmets and Ole Miss' color combo's. I find Bama's boring and I don't care for the number on the helmet. I will agree with most that Oregon looks like a bunch of circus performers.

I had Unga on my college fantasy team last year and I racked up a lot of points with him- Great player.

Best uni is UT orange defensive lineman laying on top of Tebow after a devastating sack.
