Best Restaraunt for Friday night

What's the best atmosphere for Friday night to go hang out and get good food? Was going to try to go to calhouns but they are booked up. Thanks!

For campus/strip, Gus's is legendary for the food and nostalgia, but as far as hanging out for a while, you'd probably want to try Copper Cellar (Cut from the same cloth as Calhouns), Stefano's, down the road, has great pizza.

For downtown, I second the Grill and Brewery. Also heard this new place, Chivo, is really good (food, maybe not atmosphere).

Market Square has some places too.

Central Flats and Taps has a good atmosphere, watched the game there several times when I was living in Knoxville.

I like stock and barrel for the food, but they don't have enough TVs and the only good seats are at the bar.

Look into Fieldhouse Social. Went there last year before the game and loved it. Plenty of room and TV's and the food is pretty decent as well. Plus, it's right next to the Vol Shop off University Commons so you can get some shopping done for Saturday knocked out.

Fieldhouse Social or any campus bar/grill sounds good.

But if everything over there is jammed, Smoky Mt. Brewery in Maryville is a short drive out Alcoa Hwy. They have lots of TVs, good beer and pizza, wings, etc. They are part of the local Copper Cellar, Calhouns, etc. family. There's also a Calhoun's next door with a nice patio bar.
