Best Comedians

Also, not only does Mencia steal material from other comedians... he makes it less funny. At least with Cook (who I don't particularly like) when he steals material (and he has, just not as much) he at least makes it somewhat funny.

Chappelle's standup. The trip to the ghetto in DC is

I may be in the minority, but Dave Chappell is one of the funniest I have ever seen.
Agreed.

I honestly think Killin' Them Softly is the funniest stand-up routine I've ever seen.

Also, agreed on Silverman. Most of her set will be a snoozer, but then she always has just one or two jokes that floor me with a combination of humor, confusion and disgust.

And Attell is great as long as he's not making midget porn jokes. Those get old real fast.

I am astonished, and somewhat saddened, that it took 17, 28, and 53 posts to mention Robin Williams, Lewis Black, and Dave Chappelle, respectively...

Silverman's act is terrible IMO. Not only is she not funny, but she can cross the line at times. Her show is horrible as well. Definitely one of the weirdest shows on television.

Mitch Hedberg was brilliant
Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, start to finish
Louis CK was great in a recent show
I really like Lewis Black's political stuff
Ron White is the only one of the Blue Collar group I can stomach

No mention of Cosby? Come on. Back in the day, he was gold. The dentist routine? Come on.

I'm completely disgusted with myself for forgetting Dave Chappelle and Brian Regan.

As great as Chappelle's Show is, his stand-up is on another level. He's one of the only comedians that consistently has me laughing through one of his shows.

Mitch Hedberg "I don't like cockaroaches. They are the worst infestation ever. I would want an infestation of Koala Bears. That would be the cutest infestations every. When I turn on the lights, they would try and scatter I would say no, please don't leave. I just want to hold you"

Dave Chappelle - "I didn't know I couldn't do that?"
That was good wasn't it!

Killing them softly, I agree, I must have heard that 100 times, still funny.

I saw Robin Williams on a USO tour, his energy on stage is amazing

Chappelle's blind white supremacist skit is one of the funniest things I have ever seen!
