Hard for me to remember as it has been a long time since I have watched his stuff. But I believe you are correct, I think he used to be rather raunchy.

I was really amazed the first time I saw Eddie perform "Delerious" and my buddy said, Cosby would make that seem PG13 in his early days.

The great thing about Cosby is he good be clean as hell and still be hilarious. He really knows how to deliver a story. The dentist bit and his wife giving birth are both really funny.

I consider myself somewhat of a stand-up elitist, and I will argue to the death with people about this stuff.

Old-timers:
Bill Cosby
Richard Pryor
Eddie Murphy
George Carlin

Current:
Nick Swardson
Demetri Martin
Jim Gaffigan
Brian Regan
Henry Cho

I know I'm forgetting some other good comedians, and Mitch Hedberg is very funny.

Carlos Mencia isn't funny. Bill Bellamy isn't funny. Katt Williams isn't funny. Dave Attell can be mildly funny.

Henry Cho is "southern" in that Far East Asian way and I find him funnier than the entire Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Nick Swardson is good as well. Isn't he on Reno 911 sometimes?

Names that I forgot about and I haven't seen yet are John Heffron and Kathleen Madigan.
