Evan Berry said major coaching changes at Auburn hasn't affected his opinion of the program. "Of course I'm still interested," Evan Berry said. "You never go to school just because of the coach. You go because of the atmosphere, the fans."
Taylor was Auburn's lead recruiter for the twin brothers until his dismissal last month. Both players said they've had no contact with Taylor since then. Still, they have a tangible connection to the program.
Current Auburn cornerback Joshua Holsey played ball at Creekside and graduated in 2012. Elliot Berry spoke with Holsey after coach Gene Chizik's dismissal and advised the brothers to base their decisions on schools - and not coaches.
Recent speculation has surrounded the brothers' relationship with Tennessee, which also has a new coach in Butch Davis. The Berrys acknowledged that they've spoken with the Volunteers' new coaching staff, but haven't felt any pressure to follow in their older brother's footsteps.
"He just told me not to let anyone pressure into making a decision you're not ready to make," Elliot Berry said. "Just take your time and you'll make the right decisions."
