Berry Twins (merged)

Do yall think they are both top 100 players? top 50? top 10? or are they just really solid.

Really solid at this point. I wouldn't be surprised to see either of them on the fringe of the top 100 when it's all said and done, though.

I think Evan is a bit better at this point in time. Plays QB and DB. The only film I've seen of him is at QB. He's not an SEC-level quarterback, but he'd be an interesting prospect at RB - natural with the ball in his hands, can break tackles and run away. I don't know how good he is defensively at this point, but he certainly has the size and athleticism to be good.

Elliot is a heck of an athlete as well, but I'm not sure where you put him. He's not as good as Evan with the ball in his hands. From what I can gather he's played DE more than anything in high school. He's incredibly quick off the snap, but a 200-pound DE just wouldn't survive in the SEC. Physically he profiles as a safety, but I'm not sure how familiar he is with the position. He could always learn it in college, I guess, although that might make him a redshirt candidate.

Just my two cents.

To me the name BERRY with the same blood as Eric and James... I mean Eric.... Berry... His name was, said in Neyland more than Rocky Top was sang during his tenure. So I say just want the twins here, that is enough. Athletes will produce, as long as coached correctly. (I think Butch can). Eric single handedly.kept us in some games so with TWINS I like the odds lol. Go Vols

From Rivals -

Elliot Berry and Evan Berry have long been thought to be locks for Tennessee because of the lasting legacy their older brother, Eric, left on the program, but the pair sounded wide open on Friday. Expect Auburn and Georgia to be in the mix for the brothers, who are going to make the new Vols staff work for their commitment.

New article on 247 I think that says Evan is still high on Tennessee... summary please.

Basically same thing as rivals article saying of course he is high on tn because of the great fans and facilities. It's all about getting to know the coaches. He will be here here for camp and game for sure

They could very well be 5 star recruits this time next year sought by everyone in the country.

If that is the case, CBJ and crew need to go after them like Eric Berry and his father never even existed.

He still needs to. They stated that they hate that people assume they'd be going to TN, so CBJ needs to treat it the same way.

Best part of the article is how they said they liked Auburn because of Trooper Taylor.

Don't have to worry about that one any more.

Yeah but this quote under their picture is not encouraging.

Hopefully they just don't want everyone to assume.

Yeah, they probably are thinking UT, but as a junior in highschool, you don't want to act like it is written in stone.

I just hope they don't get Eli syndrome. That is my biggest fear.

I think they are just testing the water. In the end I think they will keep up the tradition. Could you imagine one of them at linebacker and the other at corner?

I want to imagine one of them at linebacker, one of them at QB....

Wouldn't actually be Eli syndrome. Peyton was the oddball. Archie, Cooper, and Eli all went to Ole Miss.
