As he gets older, wiser, and more laid back...he'll fit the NFL better...and you could be right.

I'm not sure which one I think is a bigger jerk. As soon as I say Saban is, I'll think of a reason for Meyer to jump ahead, and vice versa. Needless to say, they're both far and away the top-2 douches in college sports today.

Not sure I see Saban as a jerk, he just beats our ass and wins championships...that's why I hate him.

Good pickup for morale purposes. I just hope we didn't waste two spots that otherwise may have gone to better players out there. They are not nearly as good as Eric, who was a once in a lifetime player. But what they may bring to the table is high football IQ, which you can't teach. Hope it works out.

Anybody think Mrs. Saban is looking for houses in that area because Jerry has a deal for Nick to come coach the 'Boys next year???? I think THAT is the NFL job that could get him back to that level.

Anyway....GREAT way to start my week!!! Now let's go kick some Auburn azz!!!

You definitely make some good points, and again, I certainly hope you're right. I could definitely see Saban going back to the NFL at some point, the sooner the better (obviously). One thing that makes me think he won't leave anytime soon is what I saw on 60 Minutes last night...

The interviewer asked if he regretted saying he wouldn't be the coach at Alabama (while he was HC of the Dolphins), and he said he did, because it brought his personal integrity into question. Now I agree that he's a jerk, but it's hard for me to think he would do the same thing again, after admitting he regretted it so much when he did it the first time.

Regardless, it's just a matter of time until we're back to beating Bama again, and his presence there will simply make the victories that much sweeter.

I"m not so sure about that. I heard that Evan already broke some of his brothers hs records, and that he is supposedly better than Eric was at this point in his career. As long as he is as good, or close to being as good, that's fine with me! Not to mention they bleed orange!
