Beer (and beer pics!)

This just in, Bud American Ale is good. Comperable to Sam Adams Boston Ale. Comperable, but not as good. A decent substitute, nice try. A for effort

I wish I had a keg of Guinness though:)

I'm telling you guys, the keg gear pays for itself in less than a year. After that, it's two bucks a (20 ounce) pint. That's cheap enough to drink every day.

(And believe me, I just about do.)

I'm with you. I think you'll see the offense flow under Stephens. But my expectations are really low after the first four games. Which I guess is Phil's new motto, "Set your goals really low so you just may have a chance to meet them."

But at a bare minimum, you will have beer.

low standards are where it's at for us volfans. i just hope stevens gets signifigant playing time. you never know with big phil.

he usually has coors light in the keg, but i think he went and joined the more taste league this time. it's all good tho. i have never met a free beer that i didn't like.

I hear that Bud Ale is in stores but I haven't seen it yet. Has anyone seen it anywhere? I would like a curiosity purchase of this stuff.

HAd some last night. A decent brew. Tasted very similar to SA Boston Ale.

It isn't bad, my wife went to to walmart and publix where she eventuslly found it.

IMO the best way to try stuff like this -- mainstream-ish beers that you're curious about but don't necessarily want to commit to a whole six-pack of -- is to cultivate a good relationship with a bartender. A lot of times they'll let you try some without actually having to buy it. I'm somewhat curious too, though not enough to pay for it. Hard to imagine an ale made by A-B.

Almost at the end of the keg tonight, and I want to save a few pints for football day tomorrow, so I'm drinking a few bottles of the Loose Cannon "Hop3" IPA. I know I've mentioned it here before, but if anyone out there likes hops, it's highly, highly recommended.

Hops like sweetwater 420?

I found this funny as hell.

All that effort to get a free beer.

I didn't think about that until you pointed it out. That is pretty funny. I don't mind paying a few extra bucks to try this beer. I guess I could see if emain is still bartending in the boro. :)

I see a Guinness, Newcastle and maybe some other good beer in my future tonight. Why not. I would rather spend $25 plus a bar then pay per view.
