Who was he? Easy to dispute without facts
Just as easy for you to look up the da** draft picks by school like everyone else. Tulane has averaged 2 draftees a year to 2015, and one or two a year prior. They very rarely go a year without a draftee.

The kid is baller no doubt about it and I would add him to the room in a heartbeat but I think he is maybe less sound with his passing mechanics than some of the other options. His release is much slower than Rocco for example.

Everyboddy clamoring to bring is someone of Robertson's caliber, that we already have two to fit that bill. Soon as you sign him, one of the other two is gone immediately and you're right back where you started. Bunch of dumb a**es in here. We got 2 high level QB's, one of which will be fine by the time the blow off games are done.

we have 2 QBs with no college experience whatsoever so the idea of throwing either of them into the gauntlet of the SEC on a short spring window as being QB1 is a set up for disaster. Also, Gmac is 180 pounds in boots soaking wet right now so he's far from ready.

Hmmm...And just how do you get college experience? Exactly, by signing 4 blue chip QB's in a row, then recruiting over them when one of them leaves, so that they leave too. THen other blue chip QB's quit sigining cause they know you will recruit over them before they get a chance to get their experience. That's exactly how you run a BS program.

If I was Both Qb's I'd have one hand on the pen and as soon as JH signed a starter, They should both hit the door and tell him to eff off.

I wouldn't blame Merk if he's upset. But there's no alternative universe where GMac was expecting to play this fall. Odds are he's hoping he doesn't HAVE to play. Kid is paper thin.

Nico redshirted, Merklinger redshirted and GMac will likely redshirt. Do you suppose UT should just stick with only 2 QBs and when one or both gets hurt, then what?

I don’t think merk or gmac transfer if you bring in Robertson. He is a junior with a chance to go pro next year if he does well. Life is full of uncertainty and someone in this room is gonna transfer at some point in the next two years.

Gmac will redshirt, just like every QB before him. And what if we ride with merk and go 7-5 or worse? In this day and age of college athletics, we could have a wide range of players transfer out. I'd rather bring in a vet who can bridge the gap until Gmac is ready.

This is the thing people might as well go ahead and accept. GMac is not going to sit for 4 years waiting for Merk to graduate, and Merk is not going to stick around if he's passed by an under-classman.

Depending on how good Faizon Brandon is, they may BOTH transfer within the next two years.

Yep. There's a whole roster full of guys that Heupel is trying to help succeed. Not just the QBs.

We have a RS freshman who has never taken a meaningful snap and a true freshman who just got to campus. Neither has shown they are ready to be the starter this year.
Heupel needs to get an immediate impact player at QB.

The expectation this season is the same as every other season - compete for a championship.

There is pressure to win now with a big name QB because of the favorable schedule. There is rumblings from donors to get it done the money is there. I think we may see a surprise name very soon.
