Basilio reporting now 6:15

The administration may be calling the shots but they are not driving this train. The people of Tennessee and fans of UT football are. Without our asses in the seats and wearing their cheap (and not so cheap) orange trinkets they can turn over Shields-Watkins to the AG department and let them raise cows on it.

Sure they have the power and might push a bad hire through now but if they do we all lose.

Get it right now or GTFO.

Oh, I'm sure you don't care. Just know you're a massive POS and you're doing the opposite of helping the program.

Who the ***** do you think they'll get if the fan base runs two coaches off?

You people are so dumb. It's incredible.

They messed up the better hire earlier so who cares. We will not support a loser that will only battle for Vandy for the garbage scraps of Tennessee talent after the real teams take the actual talent. We would be lucky to bring in a few out of state kids that have no other offers and just want to say they played in the sec.

Have you seen doeren last tweet, the one about assembling talent that doesn’t contain a single player anyone has heard of.

No, I am most definitely helping. Prevent Doeren from being hired, force Currie out, usher someone in who will break the bank and make an offer to a great coach that he can't refuse. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. But doing anything else will have a 100% chance of failure, including anything you might suggest.

"power struggle right now within two factions of boosters, and Peyton is on the wrong side, doeren is about to be hired" He just said his source told him if Currie doesn't have a coach tonight he's fired and he's about to sign doeren.

Basilo is consistently about as FOS as any local reporter in Knoxville. I simply disregard him.

And while I am ranting, even though I don't live in Knoxville my folks do so I visit often. And I don't even bother with the Sports Animal most of the time.

Driving home Sunday I tried to catch the Titans game, but it's not carried. WTF? How can sports radio in Knoxville not carry the Titans?

Later on but still in range, I tried to catch the latest on Schiano, and the so-called premier sports radio in Knoxville was playing an...NFL. Highlights. Show.

Are you ****ING KIDDING ME?!?!? A meltdown on the order of Lane Kiffin leaving is happening in real time and I have to listen to an update on a TD that the Browns might score in the 4th quarter of a meaningless game???

Holy ****...break in to your regular programming maybe?

:banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2:

KNRL is an effing JOKE.

Let’s Get loud at the game and let’s light up social media to get this man out of here. He shouldn’t be able to force a hire down our throat to save his job.

It is time to put the damn twitter down. You have already done far too much damage with it.

Sumlin would be better than Doeren. Surely that's not the last option.

But this story about having to make the hire today by Basilo...just 1000% BS. He throws stupid **** like that out all the time just to get attention. Sad. :realmad::realmad::realmad::realmad:

We need to bombard Doeren with tweets letting him know we don't want him.

Him backing out on his own might be our only hope.

This is exactly what we need to do. This is a hire that we as fans cannot allow. we need to flood social media again. The students need to protest in mass on the campus.

If he is about to be fired, why is he even allowed to go out and hire anyone?????

You reap what you sow. I told everyone on here that not hiring Schiano was a mistake, he would've done a good job here. Now we are left with the dirt at the bottom of the shoe. Quite frankly if we are shooting this low then we might as well go for a rookie HC like Tee Martin. At least then I could see some logic in that move whereas Doeren makes zero sense, period.

Heck, we should just go for Bobby Petrino or Lane Kiffin at this point. But Schiano would've been decent, as I've said before. He would've brought a much stronger teaching pedigree to our coaching staff.

Wouldn’t have made it through the PC.

I disagree. Swain stated today they would have a coach by Friday. Actually with in 18 hours of his show this morning...

I guess he doesn't do "maths" very well. That would THURSDAY, not Friday. :lolabove:

We might well have a coach by ... I guess roughly 2 am this tomorrow morning, but it seems very unlikely.

Hell, I'd bet a grand we don't. Any takers? :)
