Punter found open shots hard to come by last night which contributed to his off shooting night more than anything. Obviously, Ulis' defense played a big role in that. That is to be expected since he is one of the best defensive guards in the country.

You didn't think he got a number of open looks from 3 the 2nd half?


First half I agree they swarmed him

Hell Willis didn't have anyone within 20ft of him

It's what happens when a big can stretch the floor. It's why I think Reece has been misused. At the very least he could have made the defense honor the 3pt line and not clog up the middle like they do

Not sure they would honor it, even early in the year when the book wasn't out that he wasn't allowed to shoot from 3 teams backed off him. Same for Moore and Schofield who shoot similar from 3, teams back off of them, they don't play them tight on the perimeter like they do a Punter or Baulkman.

He only had 6 FGAs in the 2nd half IIRC. He was 1-8 in the 1st half I think, so he was 3-6 in the 2nd. That doesn't include shots on drives where he was fouled, which is where half his points came from.

The shots in the 2nd half were more open looks, but generally came with the outcome in little doubt. Not unusual for shots to come a little easier in a game with a consistent 17-20 point margin.
