Most of you all *****ing about the team quitting really can't talk because you didn't see it from your car leaving the stadium. People left after the punt return for a touchdown. The fans packed it up and called it a loss because we had a few tough sets after a pick-6. That has to be tough on a new team. You are getting hammered so you're tired by midnight, they are in the fourth quarter of a game. You don't think it made a difference one team was operating at 9 pm and one was operating at midnight? If you think being a fan and being loud can help your home team, you're an idiot if you don't think you can have a negative one also. I saw a direct relation to our players checking out with the fans. Our seniors even felt the crowd give up on them. You're not thinking about this team- you're thinking about two years from now. You don't leave in the 3rd quarter. Hate Dooley's mom all you want. That makes you a bad fan. I watched this game with some Oregon fans, when they got the special teams touchdown one of them said "You're still in it, we might still have a game" until we noticed the masses of people missing. The entire Vol culture threw in the towel. I was utterly embarrassed. In consolation my Oregon friends told me not to worry too much, their fans had been like that once. Oh how far our fandom has fallen.:realmad:
It took a novel to say that everyone other than you are bad fans because some Oregon people were trying to convince you that the game wasn't over?

Yes, that was the point of my extended story. That Oregon fans had more faith in our football team than the majority of Tennessee fans. Perhaps you should graduate from the Twilight series so you can learn what a novel really is.

so you weren't actually at the game but are calling out the fans that attended? Alrighty then
I can only fly out for one game a year, I prefer to go to the Alabama game. I'm sorry i'm not a good enough fan to buy spend close to 1000 dollars every weekend to fly out from LA and see my favorite sports team play on top of the donations i give to the university. There are bigger superfans, but I watched the game to the end and that's probably more then you can say.
I'm just letting ya'll in on how we are perceived out on the West coast. You think any top recruit would want to play for fans like that?
CDD DID warn us about his mother almost as soon as he was hired. Maybe this is what he was warning us about?
The way I saw it was that the team had a couple devastating plays go against them, the fans abandoned the team and then the team quit trying. Basically I agree with her. If you were lucky enough to be at that game (I live 2000 miles from Neyland) and you abandoned the team - Shame on you. Period. End of story.
I literally screamed and yelled at the TV when I saw how empty the stadium was. I couldn't believe it.
(I'm assuming I'm going to get crucified so fire away)
Oh, you weren't at the game.....well let this Southerner let you and your little West Coast friends know our thoughts on how you feel about us. I'm going to the kitchen........................................pulling out a glass from the cabinet......................................................sitting it on the table..........................................opening the fridge......................................and now, I am pouring you a big glass of STFU.
Some of us left in the end of the fourth quarter because we were soaked to the bone from the storm Some people never returned from the rain delay....DD should check out some of the students who were on the field during the delay. They were pretty fast when the Knoxville's finest pursued them....All I want for my birthday is a win against Florida.
