I still don't understand a middle of the pack Big 12 team wanting to come to the SEC only to get their brains splattered all over the wall every week.

money, conference security, and because getting a fair, equal voice in all matters regarding the conference is much more appealing than having to be Texas's paupers on anything that comes to a vote (since the conference administration had bent over backwards the last few years making sure Texas received anything and everything it wanted...always)

Or texas's "holier than thou" treatment of looking down on everyone else in that conference (plus Beebe's bend over backwards to meet their every whim and wish)

It isn't like they will come in and be the new Kentucky. They will likely still be about the same except now they won't be Texas' ***** off the field.

Gotta love the irony. The banner, not so much. Are their fans really so stupid that they don't even recognize aTm's coveting of Texas' LHN money is what set this whole thing in motion?

That is exactly what Texas would say happened. They are all just jealous and don't want to submit to their master in Austin... Right...

I like A&M coming, I just hope it don't kill our rivalry with Alabama.

Question for A&M fans, what does T-sip mean? Where did it come from?

Indications are that when Mizzou becomes #14, they will be in the East, therefore preserving the Bama rivalry. In the process, there would be an extra conference game added. 6 in division and 3 from the west.

I don't want Mizzou, they ain't even southern in my book. Screw the TV market, get somebody in the east that geographically makes since.

Sounds similar to the GA GATech parade float dispute.

From wiki:
History of Georgia Tech - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When UGA renewed its program in 1919, their student body staged a parade, which mocked Tech's continuation of football during times of war. The parade featured a tank shaped float marked "Argonne" with a sign "Georgia in France 1917" followed by an automobile with three people in Tech sweaters and caps bearing a sign "Tech in Atlanta". A printed program was subsequently distributed in the stands with a similar point. While the Tech faculty was able to prevent a riot, no apology was made, and thus this act would lead directly to Tech cutting athletic ties with UGA...
