I have watched plenty of football this year and I know that they have not got that great of an offense....Who have they played other than Va. Tech? Florida International and North Texas, we could put up that many points on those 2 teams, their defense is the strongest part of their team
I'm not saying we beat Bama by no means but what I am saying is that for people to think that Bama is going to beat us like Florida was supposed to do is wrong, they don't have the speed on the Offensive side of the football that Florida did and Monte has saw that kind of offense in the NFL, he will know how to defend it
Bama was also playing backups in the 2nd quarter against n. texas. Sure, we haven't played many good teams yet, but who has at this point? VT is a good team with a very good defense, whether you want to admit it or not, and Bama put up 498 yards in that game with a first time starter at QB. Those of you who are basing your perception of Bama's offense on last year, should watch some games. We have playmakers all over the field.

Notice Julio hasn't been involved much in those numbers. VT put half their defense on him, and he hasn't played much since due to injury/blowout. Also pay attention to the "yards per carry" and "yards per reception" lines.
Obviously, those stats wouldn't be as good if we'd played 3 top 10 teams up to this point, but, my point is, they're still very good. OC, McElwain has opened up the playbook this year and it shows. Last year, our passing game NEVER looked as good as it has to this point, and as you can see, our running game hasn't suffered at all.
I'm not posting this as any kind of comparison to UT whatsoever. I just keep seeing people talk about Bama's offense being "not good" or that we're heavily run-dominant. Neither of which are true.
