To the people who voted for HB, how about making yourself known? I would love to hear some reasonings for your answer.
Manning helped Tennessee win an SEC Championship so you can't say he accomplished muchI haven't bet, but HB would be an intriguing bet. Manning didn't accomplish much at Tennessee. You give me a player with 4-5 years upcoming, and all he has to do is to win two SECe in that time (and one SECc) then I'd be pretty tempted.

Jesus give it up....we don't care what you see with Florida and Auburn....you are ridiculous to think if Peyton had went to Florida or Georgia he wouldn't have been one of the greatest QB of all time there too...He is by far the best QB Tennessee has ever had and had a great college career no matter how much you want to diminish itPeyton is a VFL, and his contributions are noted. However, he's not the appropriate measuring stick. He didn't accomplish much while at Tennessee. On the other hand, in the NFL ... Many Vol posters cannot separate the two. Many national talking heads cannot separate the two. I've never witnessed something quite like Peyton. There is a segment of our fan base that get emotional about him. I don't see this with Auburn and Bo Jackson. I don't see this with Alabama and Mark Ingram. I don't see this with Florida and Danny Wuerrfel. I also firmly believe that putting the team's shortcomings square on Peyton's shoulders is unfair. QBs get way too much credit and way too much blame. But I'll say this. If Peyton would have taken his exact college results to UGA/UF/AL he would not have streets, locker rooms, etc. named after him.
good thing your opinion is just yours, because you're wrong...I love all elite UT players from Manning to White to Berry to Suffridge...Peyton will be loved throughout history as a VFL much like the other legends here...just because you don't like him doesnt mean anything...39-6 as a starter with 1 SEC title, 1 NC game appearance and is considered one of the greatest college AND NFL QB of all time...and you....are basically you lolRex Grossman won an SEC championship at Florida. Same resume except Grossman didn't lose to Memphis. Peyton did not not accomplish much here. Heck. Chris Leak at UF won a national championship and an SEC championship. If you traded players right now, would you have a street named after Grossman? Leak? UF doesn't. Cam Newton achieved unthinkable things at Auburn. McCelroy has a natty at AL. We need to foster Martin and Price more than Manning. The Manning adulation is embarrassing to our school.
Ummm...my take is probably not given how cerebral Peyton was. But I think that Manhattan clam chowder>New England clam chowder on account the former uses healthier ingredients than the later. So more likely than not the brainy Peyton would make a better food choice than teen-infected Harrison. Just manning up, folks.

People “do this” because it gets people like you all riled up, and that’s amusing.Jesus why do some Vol fans do this? The kid hasnt even thrown a pass in college and he is already being mentioned in the same breath as the best QB in school history? Good grief. How about let Bailey carve out his own legacy and NOT compare him to any former QB?
HB has he physical talent to be as good as any QB who has played at Tennessee. To date, PM had the best mental and work-ethic of any QB who has played at Tennessee. PM also had exceptional talent surrounding him. We do not yet know how HB applies his mental and work-ethic or a comparison of the talent level he will be play with at Tennessee. Therefore, I don't think I can "guess" how HB's carrier will progress, but I do think he is the best QB talent we have signed at Tennessee since PM. If HB becomes the student of the game as strongly as PM did, he has a chance to become as good as PM at Tennessee. We will see what happens in the next 3-5 years. The ride should be a lot of fun.Do you think Bailey will be better than Manning?
