If Shrout does not know the offense by now then there is no hope. If he was a red shirt last year he has had the same amount of time in the offense as JG.
That's because I think you're the only one who knows wtf you're talking about.
What did you mean they are a top 10 defense, but they are no more than a practice squad?
I believe he's done for the season and being redshirted.
You don’t understand football.
What’s clear is that we have one old QB on our roster who’s time is almost up. We have two young guys on the roster that we don’t know much about. Maurer prolly is the best QB on the roster but he has durability issues plain and simple. JG is also injured, among other liabilities. We have Shrout who is pretty much an unknown. Given his performance vs USC, there was zero reason to not let him play an entire quarter or first half vs a team like UAB that’s basically a practice squad. As of now, we have one healthy QB. It’s asinine to not see how he does thru good play and bad play to see what we have.
I assume Pruitt’s willingness to pull or sit a QB based on flow is him learning how to coach and manage that position. However, mistakes Shrout will make will be due to youth. Mistakes that continue to happen with JG are simply due to inability and IQ.
Vs UAB, it was dumb to play JG knowing what he brings to the table.
You answered your own question, we have one healthy QB. Why risk him getting hurt in a game that we were in control of from the first snap. You don’t understand football.

Do you have massive reading comprehension skills or just trolling? You’re changing the argument. You said UAB wasn’t a defense to dismiss. Yes they are. And highly overrated at that. No one is overrating our defense.
But yes, continue to blow hot air

Literally the only thing I called you out on is that you called them "practice squad" level which is ridiculous and you insinuated that I was a big stats and box score guy when all I gave you as proof they aren't "practice squad" was that they played decent against UT while their offense was atrocious. I did not point at any stats or scores against previous teams. ONLY against UT. No one was arguing they have a great defense.
Good point. Some fans get to see a couple of minutes for a QB and think they know who should be playing QB. The coaches have watched these 3 all year for hours at practices. Some how a few fans think they know more than the staff does. That is what really doesnt make sense to me. If Pruitt and Chaney think JG is the best QB by far, the other two must have some MAJOR concerns. Chaney is supposed to be really big on Bailey. Time will tell. I do know our staff knows football and Chaney knows offense. We have improved and hopefully we continue to improve.
GO VOLS
Well if you are going to be stupid you better be tough. Maybe he can teach Maurer how to be tough and not show your hurt. The problem with JG isn't arm talent. He just processes really slow. He waits to a receiver is completely open before throwing and by then it's to late.He has to learn to throw them open.I dont know if he ever will learn this if he hasn't by now. That being said he is a tough sob.Dude gets blasted every game because he is so slow processing the field.
We have all seen coaches make decisions we didn't agree with when it came to what quarterback to start. But I can honestly say I have never seen an instance where first one backup, and then the other backup, came in and made the starter look silly - only to then get relegated back to the bench after they had gotten past their initial jitters (the first time either got any game time other than mop-up, weeks ago prior to UGA) and were clearly outplaying the starter.Best by far---when they put Maurer on the field it showed me not to drink too much Pruitt cool aide. The time Maurer stepped onto the field the whole team changed. Maurer plays really well and JT would too if give half a chance but Pruitt doesn't intend for that to be the case. It was really disheartening tonight after hoping all week we were going to get to see Maurer and JT lite up the UAB defense. I don't think Pruitt is being honest with the fans and after awhile those things catch up with you if you continue being less than truthful.
