you don't need to speak the language to appreciate (or not) the music. if you can hear you weren't excluded. I have never listened to classical music, or music in another language, and felt left out.

and generally speaking since there was a sign language interpreter there, who signed in ASL or American Sign Language, even the deaf weren't excluded.

Okay...I listen to it when visiting Peru and expect to hear it. I'd be shocked to watch a match @ Estadio Nacional and hear an all-English halftime show. I'd be wondering WTF are they thinking.
Pro soccer doesn't do intermission entertainment but if they did, I'd not hold my breath waiting for English halftime in "American" soccer.

The music and messaging were political. You don't understand that because you don't know anything about the performer or even what he was saying.

I listen to Spanish language music when visiting Peru and since Rita is from Peru, sometimes in the house or car. I expect to hear it. If I'm told, however, the song is protesting the U.S. enforcing their own borders laws and national security concerns, the performer supports socialists and that the performer is known for profuse song use of "fk, p***y, d**k" and attending crudities and gender-bending (boy we sure don't have enough of that!)....yeah, I'm out. In any language. But especially here, with the left openly trumpeting "a redefining of America."

Just as I'd expect other 'American' countries to react if the inverse occurred.
I think the same about the Olympic idiots. As one person adroitly commented "What you ski with that flag on your arm and run your mouth on the world stage?? Some of us wore that flag on our arm and buried our friends under it. STFU and go play in the snow"

Swearing in socialists across the country from local to federal, taking the oath to defend a republic that Is innately the object of everything they oppose. Americans are spoiled because we have so much great music in English, but the non-English speaking world doesn't have that, and they all listen to music in other languages. We get the Macarena, and they get a ton of our hits, LOL. We don't get their best stuff because we only tune in for the weird.

It's not dumb to like a song in another language. We were all singing Du Hast in HS. We're spoiled, but not all of us are entitled. The ones who insist on everything catering exactly to their wants are the ones who are spoiled and entitled.

OMG, Puerto Rico is the 51st state and they finally got recognized in the 60th SB. I'm seeing red.

Most people don't know what many English songs are about and/or don't know but a fraction of the lyrics, and yet they still enjoy them. Yellow Ledbetter is maybe Pearl Jam's biggest hit, and nobody knows what any of the lyrics are. Kid Rock's biggest hit is based on a nonsense word.
