Azzanni Out, Martin In?

It was not the right time for tee or his family. He was very torn about that decision. It was the hardest decision he had to make, but his family comes first and the timing was off. He wants to be back in Knoxville. It kills me to see so many hate on a man for being an upright person, and a man that is a VFL through and through.

I'd take Tee back in a heartbeat. He's a lights out recruiter and he can definitely do more than what Coach Z is currently doing with our WRs.

I would honestly take tee as the offense coordinator over debored

Whats boring about scoring 37 points per game and averaging over 200 yards passing and rushing per game? When is the last time we had balance on offense? and we have done it vs a top 5 schedule

Unless the new staff keeps him, it looks like Tee will be looking for work soon. If any coach needs to be replaced, I think it's Azzanni. I've heard multiple in the know folks say that the WRs aren't getting open or finishing their routes.

Tee's son goes to Catholic, and is a 2017 USC commit right now.

Yeah I can see them kissing his ass now after he jerked them around in 13.

Nice recruiter and the underclass WRs are showing some promise. Dont understand the hate outside of Marquez underachieving (from our expectations but he has been beat up so not putting it on him of CZA).

I'm sorry but you're wrong. He has enough players that aren't young not really provide any results. Von Pearson is average. Pig was nothing this year. The sophomores seem to be non existent except for the ga game in which Jones took over wr duties during the week. Hes in charge of our passing game as well. How has that been until the ga game? Schemes are terrible and our short passing game has been a no show the entire year.
I would be ok to give Debord the whole offense and hire Dooley to coach only the wrs as long as Azzani never returns.

Lol I'm African American and I haven't taken what Tee did personally but I believe Azzani is the better coach for our system. We are getting the talent. Most of the time it takes awhile for receivers to develope and learn. We are still young at the position and have so many injuries. I can't see the rationale for wanting another coach right now. North made some great plays year before last as a true freshman. He had never played the position. Azzani obviously taught him something. Samething for Jennings. He was a QB. I can't honestly agree with you guys.

For the record there's no comparison when it comes to Tee vs Azzanni my friend. African American was only in reference to having another blk coach. The Internet is your friend Google top picks from USC over the past 3 seasons vs Wisconsin or Florida over the past 5 seasons. See how many top 5 WRs have gone to USC under the c recruitment of Tee vs Azzani at those schools and UT. You bring up North he has gotten progressively worse each year. Azzani is overrated my friend and having Jr/Sr WRs you can't keep saying you're young.

Why don't you just give up...this year we are averaging over 200 yards passing AND rushing, 37 points per game, with fewer NFL offensive players and the number 8 toughest schedule
https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other

You just don't get it lol Hurd is a beast bc Hurd is a beast. Half or more of his yards are after contact. Chaney had Lane, who could never evade the turf monster.

Btw, Chaney's got Nathan Peterman in a groove! (Before you say he plays at Pitt and their schedule is easier than ours- So does the BG QB we got torched by in the first game this year.)

The game would have been closer if not for HURD's ability to break tackle after tackle.

Oh and care to display how many of those rushing yards come from Dobbs? If I recall, Bray and Matt Simms were snails outside of the pocket and not much of a rushing threat which dampers your argument.

If Chaney were here our offense would be better and wouldn't stall 3 out of every 4 quarters every game played.

Chaney abandons the running game...especially in the red zone. And that was with a NFL caliber OL. Just don't see the greatness revisionists are pining for.

Does anyone see greatness in what or OC does now? I don't we are playing on player talent alone . That's why we are 3-3! Debord was an awful hire .

Tee Martin needs to take a long walk off a short pier. He completely disrespected Tennessee when he showed up in Knoxville sporting his USC hooded sweatshirt (In the Airport), seemed interested in the job, turned it down, and then played along with Lane Kiffin's BS by posting his Tennessee job turn down on twitter.

At that point, his street sign should have been taken down and replaced with a true VFL such as Al Wilson or Inky Johnson. Tee Martin is a Trojan, not a VFL IMO. Oh... And his comment about Jalen Hurd was immature, disrespectful, and just plain wrong.

Not only NO, But,:naughty: NO.

He can go work for his Daddy down at bama.

He wouldn't want a team of "soft" players like Hurd. I will take a team of them myself, but he did not want.

Something interesting to consider: the offense has come out of the gate hot in 5 games. Led by 13+. Lost 3 of those.

What does that say?
Debord and the O is fantastic at game planning and execution of scripted drives. Very bad at adjustments.

Ironically, the only meaningful win this season came when the game plan didn't work and there were catastrophic execution errors early. The game was won on adjustments...

What does that say? When up against the wall when there is time to recover, they were good as scheming adjustments.

Can't label Debord a bad hire. Scheming (and that IS what happened) from a 21 point deficit is no joke. Was he the best hire? No... The offense has stalled at bad times.

Conclusion: wait and see.. Bama game will tell us a lot about the staff.

I don't think Tee is coming here any time soon but I would seriously love if he did to see the look on his face the first time he sees Jalen Hurd at the complex. See, Jalen, what i really meant was.....

A bunch of sidewalk alumni think they can determine who is a VFL? He is more a VFL than any of you posters.

It took hearing from people in the know to figure that out?

Exactly some ppl Have legitimate reasoning for their decisions unlike many that post on here Tee is much more VFL than any claiming to change a street etc. The man did what was best for his whole family. I'm sure many have made much less decisions based on wife and kids input.

Tee isn't coming here. He had his shot and that ship has sailed.

I agree, Debord is sluggish on making mid game adjustments. He obviously can. I don't know if he can improve and be more responsive or if he's been out of the game too long prior to this job. We shall see. This weekend will be a good test.

For all the posters saying he had his chance, what if I told Martin wanted to be back at UT and UT wouldn't have him? This was before Jones interviewed him but Martin wanted to be at UT coaching a long time before he turned UT down. The timing just wasn't right for him or his family.

Tee would be a huge upgrade from Azzanni. The man won a National Championship for UT and is proving he can coach and recruit at a high level! If you had your feelings hurt because he called one of our recruits soft and didn't take the position a couple years ago, get over it, its football. The guy was offered a position at USC which is one of the most prestigious universities in football and he had only been coaching collegiately for 3 years, it would be hard to turn that down. Sure it sucked for who we went to work for but its hard to blame him, and plus not many coaches return to there alma mater this early in there career. And if there is an issue with the soft comment, Hurd and Tee can handle that if he ever gets here.

Tee was the Primary Recruiter for the following players according to 247:
Iman Marshall 5* CB
Adoree' Jackson 5* CB
JuJu Smith 5* ATH
Rasheem Green 5* DT
Leon McQuay III 5* S
Tyler Vaughns 4* WR
Damien Mama 4* OG
John Houston 4* OLB
Trevon Sidney 4* WR
Josh Imatorbhebhe 4* WR
Michael Pittmap 4* WR
Rahshead Johnson 4* WR
Glenn Faulkner 4* S
Chris Brown 4* OG
DeQuan Hampton 4* WR
Amari Rodgers 4* WR

Zach Azzanni was the Primary Recruiter for the following players according to 247:
Preston Williams 4* WR
Tee Higgins 4* WR
Marcus Roberson 4* CB
Von Pearson 4* WR
Darrell Taylor 4* DE

I didn't list any 3 stars but the recruiting numbers aren't even close. And before people say its so much easier recruiting at USC then Wisconsin, UF & UT, its also so much harder to get hired on over there. I am not sure that Azzanni could even be a ball boy at USC after what he has showed this season.

Bring home Tee and bring his coaching and recruits with him!!

He did put in the work and the effort while at UT.....while wearing the USC shirt to Knoxville was a bad idea..... I can understand why he chose to stay in California..... If momma ain't happy..... Ain't nobody happy
