Azzanni Out, Martin In?

Not true. CZA is a horrible WR Coach. Far from an easy position to coach.

This. And he hasn't done a darn thing with the fastest player on the team. Cody Blanc. I know he has been injured a lot but he has been in almost every game this year. Why not throw to him?

I was disappointed with the way it worked out with Tee the last time too...but if you can upgrade with a better recruiter and at least as good as coach..its a no brainer

I know this is coming out of left field; but if Azzanni were to leave, I wonder if Mike Canales, the OC and interim coach at North Texas, might be a good replacement. He brings a lot of offensive imagination to the table.

Some sports radio talk today saying if Quarles is ready to leave high school that he would make a great qb coach.
That would mean CBJ also handling WR position.
Can't see that.

ummm...uhhh...what? I don't think I want anyone on our staff from the North Texas staff. Their offense was t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e.

I guess you watched a different game than I did. I sure didn't come away with the same opinion.

They had less than 200 yards of offense and only crossed the 50 once...because of a penalty..They are 117 out of 127 in total offense that is the definition of terrible

The stats obviuously aren't pretty but I think dude might be onto something. North Texas was overmatched talent wise, but I think they brought a solid overall game plan. They were able to shorten the game and the delay when they punted seemed like a good answer to our propensity for maximizing the return vs going for the block.

How about he has a WR pretty much drafted in the first or second round every year? He, has JuJu Smith right now....freshman all-American last year, has 74 catches for 1300 yds and 10 tds this year?

How about a couple of Pac-12 Recruiter of the year Awards, one by Rivals, one by Scout?

How many did he have while at Kentucky? How many coaches have been at USC that couldn't rexruit? Do you get what I'm saying?

I dont really know what the argument here is or what you're trying to say. Are you saying that because Tee didnt have all americans at UK that he isnt that good? Or that USC is an easy place to recruit so he isnt that good? Or are you just saying Azzani is better?

Recruiting at USC is like shooting fish in a barrel. Its not that hard to recruit there.

DO NOT WANT. You think these kids are gonna want to play for him after he passed on Hurd and called him too soft? Get out of here Tee. You're west coast now.

One. You may have heard of him....Randall Cobb. Plays for the Packers.

How about we check to see how many WR coaches at USC have put a 1st or 2nd rounder in the league 3-4 years running? Could be that it's common at USC...or maybe not. All I know is, our top WR, in year 3 under Z, had 36 atches for 377 yards. Tee's best WR this season, a true soph, had 74 catches for 1300 yds and 10 tds this year.....and that's fairly consistent for his top guys every year who, as I mentioned earlier, are off the NFL draft board pretty quickly every year.

I just want a WR coach that can teach guys the craft and then see those guys perform on Saturday.

Whether Jones' system or Azzanni is to blame, UT's talented WR's have underperformed and have stayed hurt all the time. Jones says he needs 9 WR's. Either he has to devote about 20 scholarships to that position and play thin everywhere else... or they have to figure out why so many are getting hurt.

You guys are crazy with the Tee hate. The man was treated poorly by the coaching staff and he was probably ticked. This was just after a Dooley staff that treated all former players badly. The man seems to be at least a better than average coach and is an elite recruiter by any measure. And for the record, he did have the most consecutive completions in UT history at one point I believe. Tee was great at UT and I for one, would love to see him come home.

Tee may have an easier time with USC pulling in big name recruits, but last time I checked Azzani had some pretty highly rated players to work with. He hasn't gotten even close to the same results.

Coach Jones made Tee Martin a very good offer last time and obviously turned down.. i do not think he will be offered again.. Coach Jones needs big time to revise how wide receivers are rotated. whole unit has horrible numbers for the year, especially against Florida....7 total yards by the wide receivers in that game....Josh Dobbs was the leading receiver with 58 yds....

I would agree if he were just recruiting LA kids. But go look at the number of kids from the SEC region who he has recruited there.

It's one thing to tell a kid "you'll only be 3 hours from home" compared to "you're only 3 connecting flights from home." Guy can recruit and that to me is indisputable.

I had heard he was never made an offer to come here. Supposedly Butch interviewed him to appease the fan base. But that was just based off info that was posted on various message boards so I don't know what actually happened.

No shocker that Helton is keeping Tee, he is the best recruiter in the country...he did fire Justin Wilcox though

USC: Clay Helton is making a number of changes to his coaching staff. Defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox, offensive line coach Bob Connelly, defensive backs coach Keith Hayward and defensive line coach Chris Wilson have been let go according to multiple reports. Tee Martin, Marques Tuiasasopo and Peter Sirmon will reportedly stay on. Will update when more is clear.
