I am sure Nico was given permission to re-invite him, but evidently the relationship was not strong enough to put us into SERIOUS play.

My impression is that Duce doesn't care about being recruited, he's waiting for somebody to pay up. He's a high ceiling athlete in two sports who can earn a lot of money right now. I don't blame him because that's how it works; teenage actors and musicians make millions, and young athletes are joining the ranks of wealthy entertainers.
