She gave me my private check ride. Her oral portion was thorough as well as the actual ride. Her parting words to me after the check ride...”Don’t you go flying over those mountains at night in a single engine!”

My dad said he kept a firm grip on the throttles throughout the flight and at one point she reached over, patted his hand, and said it has to happen eventually, honey. Also said she had this big cushion she sat on, I guess because she was so small.
