Averaged 13th in Recruiting

@Brave Volunteer The problem there is that Telander ain't that guy. If you put AC in the middle and one of the freshmen outside we'd get better over night. Turpentine ain't it either. We're literally garbage up the middle on defense. Hard to win like that and we're missing our starting corners. McMurray is better at star than Boo, so that's another issue. I'd like to see Boo at safety. At least for a look see. Can't be worse than what we have now.

What a really broad take on how recruiting rankings work and how that translates to filling positions of need.

There’s so many factors to producing a championship team. Recruiting is just one of these, and given what he started with, I’m very proud of what Heupel and his staff have managed to do at Tennessee. Had you told me in 2020 that in 5 years we would be a national contender with a CFP appearance, a 37-15 record, multiple wins vs Bama and Florida, among other huge wins, I would have laughed in your face.

Kiffin is pond scum who got fired on the tarmac and run out of California. He left Knoxville in the depth of the night and should have been locked up with Nu'keese and his other thugs.

"Made", or backed our way in after we bungled the UGA game last year? ... 🤔
Oh my gosh, you are right, our team totally did not play in that playoff game last year! Oh my gosh how could I have been SO BLIND! You and your undeniable evidence! -- you have convinced me that what I saw with my own eyes was not in fact what I saw!

what really hurts is that Kiffin would have won a championship or two at UT by now if he had stayed,
which is what he will do if he goes to UF
Lane probably would have been been recruiting in the top five nationally if Phil Fulmer had the nads to hire him away from FAU when it was so obviously the right selection. But too much false pride to make that choice by Fulmer and many supporters.

Kiffin was only 33 years old when he was hired by UT. Of course he was likely to make some bone head decisions. When he so obviously wanted to return to UT too many in effect said no thanks, we are content with being average and continue our losing streak at Tuscaloosa.

He definitely would have made sure JG wouldn’t go down as one of the worst QB’s in Tennessee history.

I don't agree. They had a ton of talent last year and lost to Kentucky.

Yes he has had his upsets. But he’s also winning at a near 50% higher clip than Ole Miss’ historical average at school that historically recruits not great.

Math says if he’s winning at that rate there, going to bigger and more successful program historically, he will win and contend for more wins.

I personally think he’s entrenched at Ole Miss and won’t leave for any specific job outside of 2-3 schools.

There’s just not many schools out there worth going to that has an opening via firing that would be rebuilding in a year or two vs staying on course/trajectory in a program he built and currently has going. Especially since money isn’t overwhelmingly disadvantaged.

Essentially he has to decide if giving up a 10 win average each year at Ole Miss is worth taking over a job that just fired their coach that would most likely be a below average year for him with a rebuild.

In the expanded playoff, not sure if it is

You're going to have to see that **** again if we are to get a playoff spot this year. GoVols 🍊

I'm not saying he isn't doing well. I just question he would be winning championships here.

Also, the portal and NIL have made it markedly easier to compete nationally at any school.

Kiffin is a good coach. I don't know that I would say he's much, if any, better than Heup.

Tennessee has averaged 13th in recruiting since Heupel has been here. There is more than enough talent to win championships. Players aren’t being developed and schemes aren’t utilizing our talent.
How long it take you to come up with that?

Kiffin is in his 6th season at Ole Miss and still hasn’t won a true road game against a ranked opponent. Let that sink in.

P.S. Unless you want to count his 2023 win at #24 Tulane (yes, Tulane) in front of a crowd of 30,000. But I’d be embarrassed to claim that as my only road win against a ranked opponent in 6 seasons. I’d be even more embarrassed to be an SEC team playing AT Tulane.
He did today. Let the love flow

You know, Mike Hamilton would have likely been here much longer than he was had Kiffin stayed. So on one hand, thank
You Lane for playing part in getting Hamilton the hell out.

Lane would have got us in such deep NCAA **** it wouldn’t have been pretty lol

Granted. Couldn’t have been much worse than what followed anyways
