Just a quick update I have 2 vehicles and have Ben in a loaner for a week

The Range Rover, I cracked the passenger side rear wheel. I have a policy on wheels and tires so I took it in all the wheels have curb rash, so the policy/co sent a wheel for the cracked one, then sent a refinisher to fix the curb rash on the other 3

They did the other 3 yesterday but when the dealership pulled out the wheel to replace the cracked one, it had a chip in it

The mini- I was driving home wed night in the interstate and lost all power and went from 80 to 0 in about 10 seconds
Turns out I have an air leak (hole) between the throttle body and the supercharger, gonna be a week before parts come in for that

Thinking about when I get them both back getting rid of them and getting a Audi Q5 diesel anyone have any experience with them

Why not get a classic car that is wrong?

Allow me to explain, everyone wants a nova coupe. They are very expensive, so you get a nova sedan. Same classic, you look counterculture, and you pay less!

I have thought about going the alternate route. Instead of a chevelle maybe a skylark, instead of a camaro maybe a firebird, so on and such

I love dielels. the Q5 is under the VW fuel fix scandal, so not sure buying one now is a great idea.

Jeep just dropped a 1966 Jeep CJ body onto a second-gen Wrangler frame, bolted on some modern Wrangler bumpers and threw in some Dodge Viper seats. The result is a true masterpiece.


Right now in Sin City, automakers and aftermarket companies are showing off heavily-modified cars at the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s car show. And Jeep took the opportunity to drop this bombshell.

It’s a 1966 Jeep CJ Tuxedo Park on a Jeep TJ frame (that’s a 1997-2006 Wrangler) with a two-inch lift kit and big 35-inch BFG All-Terrain Tires wrapped around 17-inch beadlock wheels.

Under the hood sits a HEMI mated to a six-speed manual, routing power to a pair of Mopar Dana 44 crate axles (the same axles found in the 2003-2006 Wrangler Rubicon).

The inside is protected with a custom roll cage, and features two Viper seats, a modern JK Wrangler center console, and a custom steering wheel.

On the outside are Jeep JK 10th Anniversary front and rear bumpers, a concept hood with huge vents, Mopar aftermarket JK Wrangler LED headlights, a two-inch cropped windshield, and custom fender flares.

My brother has an SQ5 - actually, both he and his wife have one. Pretty sweet. Practical and fast.

I WANTed the RS. There's a 10K premium on them right now because they just came out. They have one available here in Anchorage but they want $49K (which is laughable).

49k buys you a nice pre owned C7 corvette. Shoot, go for a C6 and use the left over money to buy a cheap daily driver.
