Automobilia etc....

I am thinking about a 320.

Those look attractive. I think I should hang tight with my situation and hold onto the speed 3 for as long as it is reliable. I have a feeling that my needs and personal situation will be a lot different 2-3 years from now. So I might not want to get saddled up with a lease or serious monthly payments.

Awesome!

Have you owned a c4 or c5? I know I want to get one at some point. I've always liked how they were mostly targas. How nice does that feel compared to a convertible?

I have owned 3 C5s, but never a C4. In fact, I've owned 9 Corvettes total. Usually we keep 2 (an old one and a newer one), but I currently only have the '67 convertible now, and it'll be sold just as soon as it's finished as well. So #s 10 and 11 will be inbound next year.

The C5 is a fantastic car. I had a 2000, a 2001 convertible, and a 2002 Z06. Really enjoyed all three. The wind and wind noise from the targa being removed will take your head off, though. I much preferred the styling and overall driving experience of the convertible. I won't be without another convertible...they're just too much fun.

Saw a couple recent posts about BMW 3 series- I have an e90 335 and love it. Sometimes I wish I had a 6-speed MT but not a huge deal. The N55 in-line 6 is so pure, it's a hell of an engine.

F150 Super Duty... Anybody have experience with these?

I'm thinking about ordering a 2016 Regular Cab, 8' bed, 4x4, 5.0, 3:73 ELS, 6spd AT, with Max tow pkg.

I used USAA's website to build and price. It came in at a frogs hair under $38k.

Thoughts

F150 super duty? Never seen that one. Guess I need to do some googling.

My car? Nah.

...now this one kinda depends on your definition of "inappropriate".

Every feature of the Shelby Cobra was something good. And I'm not usually a Ford guy.

Let me correct myself. Seems there was one offered prior to the 16 model, or it at least was on USA site for 15.

The 16, no SD in the nomenclature, but still all the goodies of a SD.

Which one you getting
Like 929 mentioned get the V

Oh, I'm just piddling around, Internet window shopping. I know for my next daily car I want something used luxury, but not German. So I'm thinking Lexus IS or ES, Acura TSX or a Cadillac CTS.

I know the reliability of the Acura and Lexus, but how is a caddy. I love the idea of owning an American car.

I've just bought new tires for the speed 3, so this is pretty far in the future.

not German? I thought we was tight.

Anyhoo, have you driven the Lexus'? I always found them to be lacking in driving dynamics - fine for luxury but light on sport. Acura's are nice but FWD just don't do it for me. Looks like the Caddy at least gets you RWD.

What about an Infiniti G series? Strong engines (though a bit unrefined), RWD, sport-luxury.

An e46 BMW 3-series (up to 2005 I believe) is a great little package and that inline 6 is a gem; one of my favorite engines ever. Only problem spot is the transmission.

I figure the Lexus is dull to drive. The Infiniti may be a good idea as well. A lot of those around.

I just don't trust a used German car in terms of keeping maintenance and repair cost low.

The CTS-V was balls out fun to drive, it was just the lack of craftsmanship that made me trade it. I had panels that didn't fit (clip on) right. The stereo was buggy and the one that bothered me the most was the cheap rubber bushing causing me to need this:

2004 - 2007 Cadillac CTS-V Chassis | Pinion Support Brace | BMR Suspension Products & Parts

I ended up buying two because the pressure from the angle of deflection from the driveshaft broke the first one.

I've heard bad things about the rear end on those cars.
