Automobilia etc....

I liked my Colorado(had an 07). Had below average gas milage and power(inline 5).

SS's are catching on fire, Corvette engines are exploding, Sonic steering wheels are coming off in people's hands...

post-bailout GM needs to address some serious quality control issues

I don't drive anything fancy, an '04 Corolla that I baby like it's my life. She needs a new (and probably last from me at least) set of tires. I've always felt like Michelin/Goodyears were overpriced, and have been told that by many vendors back home. She currently rides on a set of Hankooks that have been the best set of tires I've ever owned. They are 3 1/2 years old and have surpassed 75k. They are the first set of owned that actually made it to the end of their warranty. Of course, that model isn't made anymore. The closest match I'm told is a set of Optimas, but reviews don't seem that good for them. A dealer here in Va Beach recommended a set of Yokohama Tornantes, but they are either brand new or not sold very many places because I can't find much information on them.

So, all that to say this: I want a good touring tire that will last me another 60-70k. What are the experts recommendations?

Check out tire rack for their reviews. They do a really good job.

I have a friend that recently tried a set of Yoko's due to the price, and he swears they are the worst tires he's ever driven.

I've had really good success with Yokohama tires. On the other hand I hated bf Goodrich tires had.

I am anxious to see how my sumitomo tired do on my Miata.

I won't buy GM again.

Had one too. Crew Cab z85 4X4. I hating getting the same gas mileage as a full size truck with 1/3 of the size and power. The new one does look really cool but man...its just too risky to buy GM right now.

So I found the old receipt from my last set of tires and realized they were even nicer than what I was thinking so now I'm looking in that ballpark. The Hankook Optimo 727s seem to get the reviews and test results I was hoping for. There's also a set of Generals that get even better results. Anyone ever use them?

I filled up this weekend for less than 30 bucks. I honestly thought something was wrong for a second.

Haha! I just filled up the Miata for under $20. $1.97 a gallon.

I also managed to wedge 4 185/60/14 tires in the little girl.

I have a 2010 GMC Sierra and it is solid. I'd buy a full size with no hesitation. Would stick to Toyota and wait to see the new Frontier before I bought a GM mid size

I'd get a Toyota, too, but I would wait until the new Tacoma hits the dealerships.
