Automobilia etc....

Don't blame ya. I look at the dealer's website for prices. If they don't have a website and their cars aren't priced on the lot, I'm not even going to look.

I respect nerds opinion as a salesman, but to me it's crazy not to have vehicles priced. If i was shopping for clothes and they didnt have prices on them I wouldn't buy from them either.

Yeah. It's a two way street I suppose. I've had a lot of timed saved by a customer popping out and checking the price and realizing they can't afford it rather than having to take a salespersons time. I apologize if I came off as critical.

You're fine. It doesn't bother me.

One of these passed me on the interstate today. I chuckled when he did the motorcycle wave at a real motorcycle going the other way.

The newbie. It's one of those 'love it or hate it' types; clearly we're in the love it camp. :)

Not a fan of the performance or is it a maintenance/cost issue?

Maintenance and cost. Having spent over a year at a Mazda dealership I have seen more RX-8s on the back of tow trucks than I can count. At least 1-2 a week.

That said the performance of a rotary is cool, and it is unique. However it seems like the only real upsides to a rotary is high specific output and smooth, linear power. Those two advantages don't seem outweigh the poor reliably, torque and fuel consumption.

Even if they remedy the problems, it seems like a long walk for a small drink.

Are you a fan of the rotary?

If I had a 3rd generation RX-7 I would stick with the rotary as that car is sort of a sacred cow in my book. If it was a 1st or 2nd generation model, that rotary would be replaced with a V8 as soon the rotary gives up the ghost.

Nah ....never had the pleasure. Just curious.

I had a 79 white rx7 with a 85 rotary engine in it......when that car was right it was very fun to drive.....had all kinds of starting issues and would flood and strand me in places.

I'm really starting to fall in love with the looks of the 1st generation RX-7.

I wonder how much they go for now.
