I would always go for a used corvette. They are a super bargain. It's mainly trusted technology, and there seems to be a healthy aftermarket.

I would be careful with the '05s. First year of that body style, new engine. I don't know if it's in your budget or not, but if you can find an '08, spring for it. The LS3 and TR6060 trans are worth the money. I owned an LS2 / T56 car and an 08 with LS3 / TR6060 and it's a huge difference.
