Make the playoff. That means you are a top 10 team. Do that 3/4 years I'll be 100% pleased. 2/4 ok. Less then that you got to go

granted it hasn't been even 2 years of the expanded playoffs, but even if you extrapolate out to 4; you would be firing all but 7 or 8 coaches every 4 years. that obviously isn't sustainable or realistic.

and with the playoffs just rewarding wins, that doesn't tell anyone who actually has the most talent.

Not sure Franklin is a viable candidate at Auburn. It does seem they are looking more at Tulane's coach (Sumrall) or possibly even Georgia's DC.
