Some info from an Auburn board on this week on the Plains - supposed insider?
-Harsin returns home Wednesday.
-All 14 SEC coaches are supposed to meet in Birmingham on Thursday for a previously scheduled event. (Awkward)
- He expects Gogue’s investigation to wrap up by Wednesday
- The scope of the investigation hasn’t widened past initial expectation: current players, former players, current coaches, former AU coaches, off the field support staff
- Mood around Auburn is still leaning Harsin is gone.
- The program has grounded to a halt for obvious reasons
-Unofficial cursory contacts (feelers) are being gathered in case Harsin is fired.
- He does not believe Kevin Steele will be a target.[/QUOTE
They aren't going to fire Harsin for having an affair.
Assuming that it took place (still unconfirmed), they could fire Harsin for having an affair with his direct subordinate though. I wonder if there could be a Bobby Petrino angle to the story as well; perhaps he got her that job by not going through the proper university procedures/channels for that sort of thing. That is ultimately what Petrino was fired for.
