Auburn coach out?

So... I went and dug up our numbers for comparison...

Phil Fulmer $6M
Derek Dooley $5M
Butch Jones $8.26M
Jeremy Pruitt $0.00
TOTAL $19.26 M That is $43.13M LESS than Auburn has paid out during the same time frame. I agree with you, I do feel better after running the numbers.
Maybe. Still don’t feel comfortable using the dysfunction of that program to make me feel we have competent leadership at this point.

Ah, so much sexism in this thread. Why is it not everyone's first thought that the reason he hired that young woman is because of her professional capabilities? And who knows? she may be his "secret sauce" to success! :p

First and 10: It’s not you, Bryan Harsin. It’s simply The Auburn Way

Check out this article on Saturday down south. Tells you all you need to know about how AU operates its FB program.
The part of the article which they basically kept a running journal of payments to players is crazy. Not surprising they did this, just surprised they kept the documentation on it. I am skeptical on the Harsin rumors, but not skeptical that they will get rid of him in the next few days. What coach would really want to go there? I guess if you want a big payout for retirement it’s a great place.

But since 2008, Auburn has won a natty and played for another. Our peak was the Gator Bowl.

You factor in the increases they have in revenue compared to us since 2008 and they are still ahead even with 43 million in buyouts

Auburn is apparently proof you can buy NC's in whatever sport you want. Paying Pearl nicely to get one in BB now. I live in AL, Auburn wins a NC in BB, AL will fire their BB coach.

People will try to raise a bobcat cub or bear cub and they are warned: "It's still a wild animal. It's dangerous because it's genetically given to wild behavior."

Humans share most of their genetics with the great apes. Many are quite sexually promiscuous. It is what it is.
Well at least we outgrew the pooping in our hand and throwing it....well at least literally

Cornbread is available and looking fahwad to gettin back to the state of Alabama.

Auburn may look stupid, but they are not dumb enough to hire the enemy.
We, on the other hand, looked stupid and dumb by doing it twice... once taking the Bear's recommendation and second... maybe taking no one's

This from the latest ESPN article:
"The coaches and staffers were asked about some alleged issues that have arisen during Harsin's tenure, with the idea of drilling in on what's factual, per sources."

The operative word is "drilling". Could ESPN have written it any better???

Well just maybe the young woman is well qualified to be an assistant and does great work and just happens to be attractive. This is all possible.

Some info from an Auburn board on this week on the Plains - supposed insider?

-Harsin returns home Wednesday.
-All 14 SEC coaches are supposed to meet in Birmingham on Thursday for a previously scheduled event. (Awkward)
- He expects Gogue’s investigation to wrap up by Wednesday
- The scope of the investigation hasn’t widened past initial expectation: current players, former players, current coaches, former AU coaches, off the field support staff
- Mood around Auburn is still leaning Harsin is gone.
- The program has grounded to a halt for obvious reasons
-Unofficial cursory contacts (feelers) are being gathered in case Harsin is fired.
- He does not believe Kevin Steele will be a target.

They aren't going to fire Harsin for having an affair.

Assuming that it took place (still unconfirmed), they could fire Harsin for having an affair with his direct subordinate though. I wonder if there could be a Bobby Petrino angle to the story as well; perhaps he got her that job by not going through the proper university procedures/channels for that sort of thing. That is ultimately what Petrino was fired for.
This seems like scenario that will avoid any buy out. They need all T’s crossed for the lawyers[

All it shows is that he wanted to leave. The money is completely meaningless because his salary simply offsets Vandy's buyout. Mason nets the same either way. I suppose that it suggests that Auburn spent more than they should have last year.

Wanting to leave Auburn and go to Stillwater suggests dysfunction. Money or not.

Well, isn't her title something like "Head Assistant to Head Coach?" What da problem is????? LOL

Apparently not many of you have seen Harsin's wife........kinda doubt he would step outside on that
