The second loss to USC east was Tressel's first year. And if Cooper had beaten Michigan at least 4 times he probably wouldn't have been canned. It was slightly more complex than that. The two most visible things were losing to Michigan routinely (who had a ton of Ohio players) and losing twice to South Carolina (who had Ohioan Ryan Brewer).
Michigan's pretty bad this year, and they have only seven Ohioans on it. I believe that's the lowest number since sometime in the 1940s.
It will be tough. We will have to pony up the cash to get the right coach.Bama had no problem doing it.We shouldn't either. It seems as though we would have to get the total package coach to compete at UT. He would have to recruit well since we don't have the best in-state talent, and he would have to be a great x's and o's guy since we play in the SEC againt coaches like Urban Meyer and Nick Saban. It seems like a daunting task the find that right guy. Because I don't want to have to go through a few Ron Zooks before we find the right guy.
Greatest Coaching GIG anywhere. Neyland stadium is a big reason. Only one other stadium in the world is larger. The most avid fan base in the world.
one thing about it........if i was the top coach getting ready to be hired......and I read these boards.......I would keep my current job
