Attendance

I was there. Lower bowl didn't empty out until way late, even with the big lead. Post game traffic was tough. I was upper deck East, in the sun and it was hot there. Might be why some left. The atmosphere was pretty electric there. I think Ole Miss will have an awesome crowd.

Pretty lame to see all those empty seats. Not gonna lie. This team deserves packed stadiums right now

(Says the guy who was too cheap to spend $300 to go to the game) I was a little disappointed in the attendance numbers yesterday.

All my years of attending games we always filled the seats except for a non sec team. South Carolina is a nobody now. Cheez. Do your homework.

Nope, get vaccinated

Availability of affordable large HDTVs, travel costs, ticket prices, bad football, and lagging vaccine rates have all played a part in keeping folks away.

I’ve had season tickets back in the oughts, but having a family of my own makes it impossible to make more than one, MAYBE two games a year. It burns the whole weekend when you’re not based in Knoxville, which is tough when you have an actual life in another city. Burning a whole weekend to watch sh!!ty football is nothing most people will do, let alone when it costs about a grand total. I’d rather pay greens fees at home.

I’ve had a couple folks with unvaccinated kids and immunocompromised spouses back out of both games I planned to attend this year. My college-age nephews have benefited from those extra tickets. Diff’rent strokes, ya know?

Ole Miss will be MAD, baby. Can’t wait. My friend backed out, but now my Dad is coming with me. Where’s the tailgate at?!?

89K today. Obviously the black jerseys didn’t do too good a job of putting more butts in seats. What’s it gonna take to get back to 102,455 VN?
I will see your image with another image. My guess is this has something to do with it.

My father, son, and I will be there next weekend for the Ole Miss game. A belated Father’s Day gift for my Dad and also my 4-year-old son’s first live football game. Hope we can pull out the win. We’ll be loud in section W!

AD should start giving away remaining tickets come Friday. Give to local charities, local high school football teams, etc. Obviously they won’t do this, but I’d be for it for every game.

I got an email Wednesday to buy prorated season tickets for the rest of the year. they are Still trying to sell packages...

This program has lost a generation of fans that probably aren't going to really get engaged to the point of attending games until they start competing for titles.

Why pay to go to a game and experience 25 or more 3 minute TV timeouts? The game today was brutal sitting in the stands during so many timeouts. At least at home you can check the other games or make a quick pit stop. There was one play today where there was an injury that stopped the game for several minutes and after the player started walking to the sidelines the red shirted idiot started running the timer onto the field for a 3 and a half minute TV timeout.
First world problems 😂
