Reeeeally wish we could have anyone on base for JUP, but wins are wins.

BJ looked good at the plate lately. Never disliked the player, I disliked the decision to bat him #1.

Still to think this lineup will eventually have a .270 hitting Heyward and any production from a healthy and rested McCann (or his trade returns) is just awesome

Verc is going to be so steamed when he see today's lineup, you guys.

I was expecting it after yesterday's game. Fredi's apparently going to go with a straight platoon, which means that not only will Schafer play, he'll play more than Johnson. It's dumb, but what are you going to do? Fredi likes guys who can run to the point that he barely cares whether they can hit. (Cf. Constanza.) Surely the difference between two 8th place hitters for two weeks won't add up to too much.

I'm hesitant. Reverse-jinxing a hitter to a couple of singles in Coors is a little bit different than trying to do the same thing to a pitcher.

I'll just point out that the mostly hapless Rockies have hit a career .316/.389/.513 against Hudson in Coors, and most of that was before he got old, so God knows how badly they'll tee off on him today.

I think he throws really hard.. And really wild.. If he's the one I'm thinking of. Also.. What's with all the RP acquisitions?
