I don't see him leaving to go to another school unless there was maybe a Jimbo Fisher type money deal. People here love Heupel & he can get anything he wants right here. Few fan bases, if any, can compare to what we have.

JH essentially took a dead in the water , on the brink of no return blue blood program and resurrected it by the start of his second year. When he has talent at every position to match our main competitors, he could have a juggernaut that nobody can stay in the game with. He has a friend and totally supportive AD that will give him what he needs to take us to the highest levels. I can't see him walking away from that. We may have a skid, who knows, but it's clear we're moving on up.

Very similar to what Doug Dickey did at Tennessee in 1965.

I'll go one better.......9 mill..... he's earned it in my eye. and make his buy out So HIGH no ones to pay it. We have a gem and a man who wants to be here. His family loves Knoxville and so does he. KEEP HIM HERE!

At the end of this season. If we go 11-2? Then it’s time to break out the check book and make sure Heupel is paid like a top 10-12 head coach.

Too early to talk about this. Let him finish the season.

We are also in new era when groups like Spyre may decide to "reward" good coaches as well and especially in public colleges where some limits have been in place due to the prying eyes of those who create a conflict between athletic and academic priorities. They also aren't handcuffed by things like Title IX.

Let's let Danny White decide what's best for the program. He and Heupel have a great relationship, and the guy obviously knows how to run an athletic program.
