Ask me your questions about WVU...

You too are vastly, vastly underestimating the athletic talent on this UT team. I understand your excitement about your guys... but you're demonstrating serious ignorance of UT's guys. You do not have a WR that would start over Callaway or a healthy Jennings. Sorry. You just don't. Your guys succeed in a system. Nothing wrong with that... but it inflates their numbers.

I really like Long but UT's options are both bigger and faster than he is.

To say Stills would start in front of Shy Tuttle... just shows you don't know anything about Tuttle. The story is similar for most of these guys.

Total? Here's something to consider. UT had 3 guys drafted from its first 8 loss team... ever. A UT CB, Moseley, stands a really good shot at making an NFL roster as a UFA. Kendall Vickers (DL) and even Colton Jumper (LB) have received praise during NFL camps. Playing for Jones hurt their draft stock.... but they had talent.

My point is that in a terrible year... UT could still put as many as 6 players on an NFL roster in a single year. I understand your excitement... but you need some perspective. UGA, Bama, Auburn, UF, Mizzou, USCe… are all on UT's schedule this year. There's a good chance that every one of those teams are likely to have at least 10 players with NFL potential... they do EVERY YEAR.

Bama put 12 into this year's draft following 10 in the '17 draft.... UGA had 6. LSU in an off year had 7. UF had 5 from another 4-8 team.

WVU may win but it won't be because you have talent more overwhelming than UT sees on an every year basis from most of their SEC opponents.

WVU puts its share in the NFL. But there's never been this many NFL caliber kids on the same roster at once... the difference may be they have experience as well as talent.

Several of these kids could have easily went into the NFL last year. They elected to return because they believe they can accomplish something special.

This team has vibe about it. It may be overrated but every one of them has bought into the notion that this is their year. They believe in each other. Their coaches believe in them. They've pushed each other to get better all summer with one goal in mind - win the Big 12.

They are stronger, bigger and faster than any team in the history of WVU.

I'm not going to bet against them.

I've followed WVU enough to know that ##$# happens. WVU has handed away games in the recent past. They could easily do so again.

If Tennessee beats West Virginia in eight days--and I'm not saying they will, only that there's a real chance they might--it will be because the better team won. Not because West Virginia handed anything away. You should think better of your team's integrity than that, man.

Wouldn't expect you to. You're a homer. But you should be an educated homer... and look into the talent of the players your "dissing". UT has a fairly young team but counting the guys who could go early... Warrior, Bituli, Tuttle, Phillips, Callaway, Jennings, and Kennedy... are likely to be drafted next spring. With health plus a good year, Alexis Johnson has the size and athleticism to be in the drafter as does Kirkland. That's nine guys that could be in the next NFL draft from a UT program considered to be rebuilding. The best player on the team isn't draft eligible (Trey Smith).

Several of these guys are players you stated earlier that your guys would definitely put on the bench....

Rooster, just stop, dude. Yall barely beat the most underperforming team in UT history... barely. SC is overrated and will always be scraps in the SEC.

Underperformings got nothing to do with it.....(Unforgiven)

TJ, here are some scraps to chew on. SC’s current roster will put more players in the NFL than UT’s by a good bit, in spite of all your blustering about how talented your roster is based upon HS rankings. And before you pop off, it’s almost certainly true.

Now I realize I am on a rival’s board and out of place for saying that here, but with full apologies to any hurt feelings it is what it is.

No one who makes a mic drop worthy statement has ever had to type mic drop.

Also, this Mule guy is comical. Every WR starting over Callahan and Jennings has me rolling. Among other things. There's just way too much to even address. Oh man.

No kidding. But they have the QB to get the ball to their WR’s so advantage WVU receivers until proven different.

Every WR.... David Long, Dante Stills, Jabril Robinson, Cajuste, McKivitz, Kenny Robinson, Javoni Haskins, Isiah Hardy and maybe a few more.

This IS the most talented team ever at WVU. I count 10 future NFL players on offense and 6 on defense. No joke. I'm not saying picks in rounds 1-3 but they will be on some NFL roster somewhere.

G4H.

Ya know... that's what we say about the Big 12. WVU is physical. WVU plays tough. Especially on defense.

You don't really believe your own sales pitch, do you?
Our defense was horrible last year to say the least, but given the prowess of our new coaching staff, it will likely be much improved. Your defense is marshmallowy soft and good running teams will pour through it like a sieve.

Blustering? All I said was it took everything yall had to beat us during our worst season ever. With mediocre coaching on our part, you lose.

Don't worry about hurting my feelings, bud. I don't think we're overflowing with talent. I just think we're better than what most think and that you guys are a second tier team at best.

You’ll see no predictions from me. For the first time in a long time we have a coach that doesn’t live on cliches and is straight forward. I don’t think that Pruitt is giving anything up so far. This team could be clicking really well of still far behind. They could be lucky to win 5 or win 7-8. Who knows how far they’ve come.

WVU could also be overhyped or they could legit be a playoff contender.

WV has the best team in history. Anything less than a spot in the Natty game and you have woefully underperformed. Okay , got it.

It wont be a give away, we will take it flat out. Butch Jones aint the coach no more and this staff has completely changed the culture.

Mule,

Why is your coach already making excuses about practice hours before the game?

Good point, but he Seems to be hedging his bet and blaming the NCAA for a possible let down.

This is comical, WVU is not physical on defense nor do they play tough. Y’alls defense was terrible last year and you lost 5 of your top 7 tacklers. You guys have a ways to go before your considered TOUGH or PHYSICAL on defense.
