highly involved with these through mid-stream. Coal was only looked at for energy and was not researched or developed, nor were any of the co-products. We should be able to get value with some efforts. Some projects are cost prohibitive, but many are workable, especially as part of a larger complex. What about natural gas, Marcellus and Utica Shale?

Comparison is fuel ethanol. For 25 years, ethanol life was great on subsides, until they were removed, then there was industry rationalization and innovations. Not that the fuel ethanol concept is so great, but it certainly works now.
Much appreciated. I had scrolled through your thread looking for a response but apparently missed it.
Do you have any examples of power offenses WVU has faced and how has the 3-3-5 fared against those type offenses?
Were those supposed to be "good" examples? Not prodding. Just asking.West Virginia vs. Alabama - Box Score - August 30, 2014 - ESPN
Oklahoma and Texas did not run real power offenses, but Perine and Foreman were power backs who ground down the D and they employ big, blue chip lineman that can really cause problems for a stack defense.

Being in the Big 12 absolutely stinks. We play Iowa State on Rivalry Week for Christ's Sake and the only team our fans really get up for Oklahoma, and that's only because they beat our faces in every year. We belong in the ACC.
I'd still like to see the addition of WVU and another team (preferably from NC or VA) to make the SEC a 16 team conference. You could keep two divisions or go to 4 with three cross division games and a two round championship at the end.I was actually pulling for the SEC to go after WVU instead of Missouri back in 2012. I thought it was a better geographical and cultural fit.

RE: the bold above. If Pruitt does what he appears to be trying to do... and UT's OL's weren't just badly overrated to a man... that's what you will face when your guys line up against Trey Smith and company.
I would offer KU last year as odd as that sounds. I was curious so I watched that game. They put a blocking back in their spread formation then ran at your D. I was kinda embarrassed for you guys myself. We don't really play too many teams that run "power". Maybe Kansas State, but that's kind of like a power/spread hybrid that nobody else really runs. So really, the only examples I can give are spread teams that kind of played us with a power philosophy, by going mono y mono and giving it to our front 7.

I'm not trying to rub you raw. It is just hard for a fan not to be... a fan... full of hope a week from the start of the season.Holy Hell. Kansas is such a bummer that you don't even think of them. Yep. They beat our D up last year. Very embarrassing.

UT according to recruiting evaluations has a team with talent. They do miss. It would be hard to imagine them missing on over half of UT's roster. We hope Pruitt is a great football coach and not someone who made good career moves. He seems like the former. In fact, most of us probably fear his handling of the political part of the job will hurt him more than coaching the team. But that's where Fulmer comes in as AD. He was always better at the politics.
If Pruitt is the guy who really produced those great championship defenses and can handle the HC job... and has developed the talent we think this roster has... then UT will be much better than expected.

It's obvious, but the 3-3 is really designed to stop spread offenses who want their runners starting east and west opposed to punching you in the mouth.
Much higher.. clean air and hard work are good for the body. If you like hunting, white water rafting, fishing, mountain biking, climbing or any outdoor activity then you might want to visit WV. There's 5,000 miles of atv trails if you into that sort of thing. There's more miles than that of great single track.
I’m originally from WV. My whole family are WVU fans. I am the only UT fan. They say the same thing about the most talented WVU team ever. So I will ask you the same question I ask them. Does it make you feel bad as a WVU fan that your MOST TALENTED team ever is only a 10 point Favorite over a UT team coming off of a 4-8 season ???? To me that kind of tells you the difference in our programs . And I really think WVU will be surprised at all of our talent now that we have a coaching staff. 38-35 UT !!!! GO VOLS![]()
