Can you elaborate for me? Thanks for any info you can offer. (Food's just too expensive to waste it by trial and error.) Preciate it.

Not as long as you continue to use Macaroni.:p

Blanch your Kale, drain it, put it in a ziploc and freeze it.

I think it's a comfort food thing for me. I have it maybe once a year.

I'll leave it alone. I just think there are so many other pastas that are more suitable. Macaroni is just small and hard to eat....and stupid.

You're Brooks. I'm Dunn.

There isn't another pasta that gives you the same mouth feel with the spicy cheese sauce as jumbo elbow macaroni (and yes, I realize the risk I'm taking by posting that...but it's the truth.) A silky smooth sauce combined with a silky smooth pasta tube is pure decadent heaven. Penne has its place, and so does macaroni.

I assume I add salt to the water? Boiling water, throw in kale, 3-5 min, and finish in an ice bath. Drain/dry and freeze. Is that about right? Squish the air out of the bag or no?

I assume I add a pinch of sea salt to the water? Boiling water, throw in kale, no more than a minute, 30 seconds would be perfect, and finish in an ice bath. Drain/dry and throw in a fresh garlic clove and a twig of fresh rosemary and freeze. Is that about right? Squish the air out of the bag.

I'm Dunn with the Mac argument.

I fixed your post.

Durkee's make a hot sauce. It's awesome. imo.

I hope you don't want exact measurements.

Fresh garlic
Fresh ginger
Brown sugar (dark)
Tamari
Dry mustard powder
Ground white pepper powder
Pineapple juice

Edit. Soy sauce and sesame seed.

I'll have to keep an eye out for the Durkee's hot sauce and give it a try, and thanks for the teriyaki recipe. Measurements not necessary, I can wing it (perhaps literally :) ).

...and Yankee Doodle says to quit dissin' on the macaroni. It's like pigs feet. It may not be the bacon, but it has it's place.

Just eat it with a big spoon. You're welcome. :p

I still have a good bit of lamb in the freezer from last year. I tried cooking some but it didnt turn out quite like I wanted it too. Gonna do some more experimenting with it later on.

Behr, what's your favorite tool in the kitchen (excluding knives). I love my dough scraper when I'm doing lots of chopping. I know I have too many gadgets that just take up room in the kitchen. I'd like to pare down the stuff I have.

I do have a couple heat proof spatulas that I use pretty much on a daily basis. They are Pampered Chef Mix-N-Scrapers. Some of the best money I've ever spent on kitchen stuff.

PC has good stuff but the PC Kingpin around here, I can not stand her so I boycott

I've just been to a few parties friends had. Not really sure if there a head honcho in this area or not. Their stuff is ridiculous over priced. But the few things I've bought I love. Never understood the love for the stones though.
