Yeah. I think the meat turned out fine just didn't spice it up as much as I usually do. I'm going to do another one later this week. I used a shoulder.

I don't spice mine up as much as I'd like. Bunch of sissys around here don't like a lot of heat. I think I'm gonna buy an extra one next time. That way I can fix it my way.

That's what I did this time. One for me and one for my brother and his wife. They like the Memphis taste and I like the Carolina mustard/vinegar one.
 
Yeah, I smoked 2 butts for nat's bday the other weekend. It pained me not to use any red pepper in my rub. Wife was worried some couldn't handle the heat.

Usually in a cast iron. Beginning to think I tried to rush it starting it out as toast already. Sound about right?

Yeah, cause the pan and butter/oil will "toast" the bread just like it does with a grilled cheese.

I really outta stay out of this thread before lunch.
 
The BBQ Sly gave me was pretty incredible. Very moist. I am impressed. The tater salad was very good also. And sly on the egg in a hold thing, I butter both sides of the bread first. I usually pop them in a toaster if I can. Cut the hole and then butter the pan. Fry up the egg over easy flipping it to fry both sides.

Thanks, Blu. Was afraid it might be too moist. I'll spice it up a bit next time. I'll whip that dang egg thing yet. Thanks.
