I have done hundreds of briskets, just havent done one of the BGE. I had it down to a science on my old grill that I had for years. I bought a new grill a little over a year ago because I wore my other one out. I tried one on the Brinkman and ruined it. Thats why I decided to buy an egg. I am trying to give the Brinkman away. It cooks way to hot.

I haven't said anything because I wasn't sure if it was gonna happen or not, but as of right now (I'll know by tomorrow for sure) I'll be moving back home next week.

Hadn't planned on it until next year, but things have changed and I've been working on it for about two weeks. A plan for any type of restaurant hasn't changed, still gonna be a while longer.

I've been sick of this shathole of a state for some time and was ready to move after my mom passed, but just couldn't at the time, some might remember why, not that it matters.

Anyway, I'm stoked to the max about it and think it's a sure enough deal that I can talk about. God works in mysterious ways.

You must not be trying hard. :) I think they make a nice product, obviously not a BGE but it'll work.

I used to be able to name every nut that there was. And it used to drive my mother crazy, because she used to say, "Harlan Pepper, if you don't stop naming nuts," and the joke was that we lived in Pine Nut, and I think that's what put it in my mind at that point. So she would hear me in the other room, and she'd just start yelling. I'd say, "Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut." That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!" And Hubert used to be able to make the sound, he couldn't talk, but he'd go "rrrawr rrawr" and that sounded like Macadamia nut. Pine nut, which is a nut, but it's also the name of a town. Pistachio nut. Red pistachio nut. Natural, all natural white pistachio nut.

this particular style is not that good. I tried to find the closest thing to what I had. It takes a half roll of foil to stop up all the holes. It was in a box when I bought it, not assembled. My fault I bought it.

Thanks Volly. It's gonna be a blast. My only sibling has a 1 year old I've never met, I'll be back on the farm I grew up on and working with my brother at his store....working on the future harder and faster. Close to family.

Behr, or anybody else, do you ever make etouffee? We went to a little cajun place last weekend in the mountains and it was insanely good!

Compared to the last 6 years, it will be.

Cross Plains TN. Robertson county. It's about 30 miles north of Nashville straight up 65.

Made it the restaurant for Wedding reception buffets, but not something I made often.
