I agree and that's another reason I usually use them. For pulled pork only, I would rather use a shoulder.

Thanks! that's probably the best I've done as far as pulled pork. I've had a few request for the next time I fire the smoker up. If I've got it figured right, I think I can fit 6 4-5lb butts in there at 1 time. the 2 I did were 7 and 8 lbs.

I meant to ask, was the flavor of the molasses overpowering at all?

Not at all, I didn't put quite as much as it called for though. It called for 8oz for a 5-8lb butt. I used about 13oz for the 2 butts that were 15lbs total. I was soaking them in the same pot and was scared to double the measurments. I also took it out of the brine after 10.5hrs instead of 12.

I know they're similar (most people think they're the same) which is why my potato entry was voided. So I was out.

Changing the subject.

I haven't said anything because I wasn't sure if it was gonna happen or not, but as of right now (I'll know by tomorrow for sure) I'll be moving back home next week.

Hadn't planned on it until next year, but things have changed and I've been working on it for about two weeks. A plan for any type of restaurant hasn't changed, still gonna be a while longer.

I've been sick of this shathole of a state for some time and was ready to move after my mom passed, but just couldn't at the time, some might remember why, not that it matters.

Anyway, I'm stoked to the max about it and think it's a sure enough deal that I can talk about. God works in mysterious ways.
