Bought the ingredients for the chow chow yesterday, got everything but the pickling spice. SOB! It was on my list too.
Got the veggies at the Farmers market, including some cayenne peppers. Gonna stop by Publix after Church and get the spice. Will start the soaking tonight or tomorrow night. Hopefully Tuesday I'll have a report on this coveted condiment.

Another question I've been meaning to ask. Several weeks ago in the What did you have for dinner thread, Tin Man commented that you and your wife eat better than most. My question is, does your wife actually make herself a plate and sit down eat it? This might seem like a silly question, but it's not.
I got sidetracked and I'm sure no one is interested in details.
Last night I finalized the recipe, ingredients and conversions.
I will be soaking the veggies tonight and will know tomorrow. In my defense, I did say "hopefully" Tuesday.
I know it seems I've made this more difficult than it should be, but that's the way I like it. I haven't posted much about it the last couple of days just to spare everyone.
If you thought Id forgotten or decided against doing it, you're not even close. Haha.
