I wasn't referring to Chop House either.

I looked at the link. (they need to revise their menu..IMO).

I'm not a tourist and I would love to go to a place I could grill my own steak and leave the FWB at the table instead of listening to her BS about nothing.

Just me tho.

I am over selling Chop House too but better than normal chain restaurants at least in Tennessee. I agree those cook your own steak places do make a killing but its about location. It could work in your area along Ft.Meyers, Naples and Marco..Great start up business idea just have to buy the huge grills.

I think you are missing my point here.

I think it's a great idea that should stay one.

I think it's fun tho.

Oh, and on the "they need to revise the menu"....I don't think I'm smarter than they are, but I would bet if you called their headquarters and asked them what they thought, they would tell you they were in the process.....if they answered honestly.

Scallop Rockefeller. Creamed spinach, tomatoes and cracker crumbs.

some of their sh!t is ridiculous..i only go there because one of the few places I can order medium rare or rare and it comes out that way. I eat steak or prime rib and stick to my regular orders. Wife likes the schrod and salmon. I am sure you could improve their menu 100%. Tennessee Places are horrible for actually well prepared foods except for Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis non chain dining. Very few in between.

:eek:lol: You should go to a place where you can cook it yourself.

I've only been to Outback once. It sucked so bad I swore to never go again.

I'm not so vein as to know it was just that one and /or a bad night, but you know how that shat goes.

I don't go to Outback for the steak, I go for the croutons on the salad, and the blooming onions. For ribeyes I go to Texas Roadhouse. And for prime rib, I go to ChopHouse or the Station House.

Funny you mention the "Bloomin onion". The one and only time I went was for that one reason, I wanted to see what all the "hoopla" was about and see if I could figure out how to do it.

That was the nastiest thing I'd ever seen. Again, I'm sure that is not normal for them, but my sweet Jesus.

You must've gone on the night they have the crapped out of a pig's butt onion special.

Behr, what's the best fish for baking (we're trying to eat healthier). I need to stock my freezer and pantry with stuff. Obviously fresh is better, but frozen works better with my lifestyle at the moment. And I'm asking for something besides salmon and mahi mahi (two of my favorites).

What about halibut? I don't think I've ever bought that. I've used flounder, and it's ok, but it seems a little delicate. I like it best coated with flour and pan fried (it seems to stand up a lot better that way?), and I want to get away from that.

bloominonion.jpg

It look like this..found one that looked pretty shawty.

If it's cooked well, and comes to your table hot, with plenty of that spicy sauce, it's one of the best things EVER! I am a BIG fan! Wash it down with a yuengling.

SON OF A ..........

I spent at least 20 minutes replying to your post Volly. While playing with a tennis ball, Behr unplugged my computer. MF!!!

I'll start over. :(
