Had to google the Nineteenth Century Club, a womens club. Black Moses lived on Shady Grove near the I240 overpass in the 70’s. Area was all white & had a lot of Jewish people. If that’s the area your mother lived in, could see the concerns with that “black boy” moving in the neighborhood...
She loved it; thought it was great. Hayes is also buried in the same cemetery our family uses, not that far away from where my dad, aunt and uncle, and grandparents are buried. We used to drive by his site when we were lost (again) trying to set out flowers.

June 1965, local band The Gentry’s from Treadwell High School caught fire with the song Keep on Dancing. Larry Raspberry (larry raspberry and the highsteppers) & Jimmy Hart (wrestling) were the 2 most notables in the band. Jerry Lawyer went to high school with these guys but wasn’t in the group.

My Post of The Month nomination!! Mikey got owned. Go girl!!

Wtf is Jerry Lawyer?

I’m now cautiously trying to do online ordering from Harris Teeter and/or Publix. No clue what I’ll actually wind up with...
I actually have a pick up order tonight at Kroger. I'm watching the site very closely to see what gets substituted/removed from my list! I ordered the max allowed for ground beef, but I'm not hopeful. Also, I still wasn't able to add TP or paper towels to my order.
