I have always believed crowd noise hinders an offense: 1)burn time outs 2) difficult to check off. I also believe it's get the defense fired up and gets adrenaline flowing, to make a big play (example 2003 Bama in overtime, the Vol fans we out numbered and then we got loud, it started with one fan going nuts and then it spread to the corner where most of the Vol fans were. The whole stadium noticed, the players on the field, felt the electricity, the VOLUNTEERS made the play, and we won the game). That Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, I knew one person can make a difference.
