Article: Why the Cleveland Browns are a perfect fit for Josh Dobbs

They need a better rushing defense before anything. They were last in the NFL last season in rushing yards allowed per game. They're losing pryor which is a huge blow but they're hoping Corey Coleman pans out, he showed promise at the beginning of the season before he got hurt. I could see them taking a WR in the mid rounds maybe to fill in that spot where Pryor left. Their secondary is very young. A rookie, a 2 year guy, a 4 year guy, and a 7 year guy in Joe Hadan one of the best in the league. They need to replace both lines.

Haden is old and always injured. He is basically done. Hoping one of the youngsters pans out but they keep trading guys like pawn pieces and they are losing the chess match. They need a solid guy back there to replace Haden.

They need to just cut everyone, relocate the team, and change the name because who want's to play for the "Browns" anyway lol

The funny thing is if you could just make a few solid picks that will pan out and get a QB there could be a quick turn around. I mean within a season or two. Browns fans aren't going anywhere man, there are no young Browns fans...we've seen it all.

The thing is, even if they did make good picks and they pan out, they would bolt to FA. Any good player they have had, has either been traded, or not resigned. I don't understand how their management has kept jobs.

Personally, I think the Williams guy from Alabama is a good candidate for the band, because he sounds like a general piece of crap.

Haslam had no idea what the hell he was doing when he bought in. He just thought of it as a money maker. He wants to win though to prove he can do it, and he's willing to spend money. He is just now figuring out who is good at what and putting good people in place to do what they are good at.

LOL Cowherd just reported the Browns could get jimmy garoppolo with this number 12 pick and next years first round and Browns won't do it.

We're doomed.

you a Browns fan man? gees..sorry.

Why would you give up 2 1st round picks for Garoppolo? Guy hasn't proven anything.

He's what this franchise has been building around hoping to get. We passed up big guy in the draft last year, then we said... garoppolo is the guy we want. They ask New England, and New England said give us two or three high picks and you can have him and we refuse. They will probably draft Garrett, a guy that walked into the interview and said "well, I really don't want to work for your company but you're hiring." And the they will pick Ross, another speedster weed addict that won't have a QB to pass to him.

I just don't get why you would build a franchise around an unproven QB on another team and then think its a good idea to give up 2 first round picks for him. Why not just draft Watson? But then again, that's why the Browns suck and the Pats don't.

Seriously, even that dude from Florida won a game as the Pats QB and I cant even remember his name.

I could see Dobbs being a player progressing like Bridgewater. Although, i don't think it would be good for him to get thrown to the wolves with the Browns. Imo, his best bet would be going to somewhere where he can sit and learn.

Yeah, it's not worth that. I honestly think Garoppolo could be a franchise quarterback but I wouldn't throw two first rounders for him because he could just be another Pat's system QB.

Garoppolo is going to be a great quarterback and I would give up number one and slide to twelve with a first next year... I would also be asking for some money or a later pick in the draft this year as well... Like a fifth or a sixth...

That kid is solid!

Browns are smart for turning that down. What has Garrapolo done to warrant a single 1st round pick? Let alone two?

Browns are for once making the right choice.

If you don't understand why he is good and you think production from being a back up to TB is the measuring stick for his value... Like you just stated you know nothing about the Quarterback position.... Smh.

Because tony romo with 3 broken backs is a better option right?

If you building your team around a garoppolo type QB and that's what you want you go get him. What choice do you have?

Someone want to tell me a better first round pick for the Browns besides garoppllo

Garopollo plus Kessler plus crow/Duke, you still get all kinds of high draft picks and over a hundred million in cap space. Now you have a football team.

No garopollo = a cluster

It's weird when I agree with you, but I kinda do on this one. The Browns have to find a QB. I don't know that there's one in this draft. I like Watson a lot, but I still think there are some questions with him. He throws a lot of picks.

I don't know if Garoppolo is worth the price tag that's floating around, but he's a better option than anything that the Browns currently possess.

I also can't figure out why the Browns are willing to let Pryor walk. He's going to cost a lot, but they've got an obscene amount of cap space. He looks like their only legit weapon.

I swear to everything holy if they draft Garrett number one and don't use him for a trade I'm going o jump off my roof just to end the madness.

well, they are really high on this new receiver but he's unproven. They also have a tight end they like, but I agree 100%. Pryor is a super hero and he was basically the entire team last year. He wants a huge contract but this is his opportunity to get paid and like you said... the Browns have it right now.

Basically they have a lot of high draft picks again to work with and they are dealing like a wallstreet banker with these players. They seem to think they can fill any holes they have. I think garopollo, the new reciever, the tight end, pryor, crow/duke.... you got yourself a football team. Fill the lines with draft picks. You have more then enough at that point... it's a solid plan. As is, you have nothing adn I'm beginning to panic.

They are seriously looking at Johnathan Allen BTW. Which might be the only salami player I wouldn't be Opposed to. He was a madman last year.

It's coming, man. Better to accept it than to off yourself.

Plus, most residences aren't tall enough to guarantee death if you jump. The worst case is that you cripple yourself and still have to watch the Browns from your wheelchair.
